What a horrible trip!

I only went to Costa Mesa but avoided all rain. Gee my hair smells terrific!

No traffic on the way to and from the Valley today. Amazing.

5+ inches of snow here yesterday. It was fun to watch it fall in the woods behind my place. I went to the mall today.

Snowed in all day, not that I'd go anywhere anyway. Total jammie day. I colored my intrepid Aunt Audrey's hair- I was hoping she'd not want to risk getting stuck on our hill, but she owns a Suburu. I think I need one, too. Or a Hummer.

It rained and rained, rained a little more, flooded our backyard, then rained a lot more.

We cleaned out the backyard drains, got drenched in the dleuge, then warmed up in front of the fire.

My car did not leave the garage today. :)

Nathan, being the consumate water engineer that he is, thinks that we are in the middle of the 10 year storm. He thinks that it is similar to the rains we had back in 1983.

End of geeky engineer transmission.

We went to DL on Saturday and played in the rain. Wasn't much rain there but still enough to keep the crowds away. No line over 10-15 minutes for any ride, including Peter Pan!

I'm glad we picked yesterday. It absolutely poured here today. I almost started on an ark.

Not to be in bad taste or anything, but today the L.A. river near NA's house in Long Beach looked like that nasty tsunami footage. It was wild!

I was just reading that there is flooding in L.A.- I wasn't aware that the L.A. river still existed anymore. Wild weather, everywhere.

The LA river is 1/2 a mile from our house! It is raging rapids at the moment, but the reinforcements are keeping the water where is should be.

I just can't believe how long it has been raining! I love it!

The roof at our apartment is leaking. We first noticed a damp strip in our living room. We told the office, then went out for the afternoon. We came back one of our trash cans was under the largest portion of the damp area...and a 2 inch hole had been drilled in the ceiling. This morning wake up, and across the room is another damp area, and we can hear dripping coming from the ceiling. Oy. And, of course, roofers won't do any work while it's raining (I need to have a talk with my boss, I like that policy).

Agreed! Some actual weather in So Cal. We've been loving every minute of it.
