A friend just sent me some audio I want to use for an upcoming podcast. He sent me a Windows WMA file. I'm not sure if I can convert this to an MP3 or WAV file so I can fiddle with the settings and extract the portions I want to use.

Anyone more tech savvy than me have a suggestion?

For the record, I have some freeware I use, Goldwave for WAV file fixing and I use Audacity for my audio editor and creator for the final podcast files.

If you have iTunes, add the WMA to your library and then click "Create MP3" version from the Advanced menu (Mac instructions, I assume it's similar on Windows). The MP3 will be created in the same directory as the WMA.
