Can't believe we're not talking about this yet...
First can I just say...WHAT WAS SHE WEARING ON HER HEAD AFTER THE BLESSING CEREMONY?
Looked like a porcupine. The whole wedding had a kind of White Trashy/Brittany Spears Wedding Planner feel to it.
I don't think I've ever seen the Royal Family board a bus...and then the car they took for the Honeymoon..decorated with shoe polish and mylar balloons..
I did, however, like the dress she chose to wear to the Blessing Ceremony...I thought the color was great and it was cute very flattering to her...Even though I think she's not an overly attractive woman, I thought she looked kinda pretty..her hair was very soft and flowing and you could tell she had a look of bliss and love!
But dear lord..take the quills out of your hair!

They richly deserve each other. That's about all I can think of on this subject. I wonder if Charles still wants to be reincarnated as her..oh, never mind.;)

I totally agree! They do deserve each other...
She'll never be Diana..not sure if she wants to.
That said, you've got to admit there's something "KINDA" romantic about finally marrying the man you've been in love with for the past 30 years...

I think the 'Dangerous Liasions' game they played beforehand left behind a lot of human wreckage. They embarassed themselves, their families, their country. I think they have probably lived long enough to regret their past, but I doubt if that regret is extended beyond how it impacted them personally. It's great that they still love each other, but I don't view it as romantic. They were not star crossed lovers- they were too weak to challenge the system (back when she wouldn't marry him because she wasn't a virgin and didn't want to deal with the publicity), and too weak to behave honorably.

Very true WB!
One does forget that there were quite a bit of people stepped on on her way up.
He very much should have married her to begin with!
I was just intrigued by the contrast to this wedding and the wedding to Diane...so trashy - vs - so classy!

Actually, her ineptness at class and coutere is one of the few things I like about her- makes her seem more human. I like Princess Anne for the same reason- but the arrogance and manipulating that the Royals seem to enjoy visiting upon others is the thing I dislike the most about them. (Anne and Charles both have such an obvious disdain for anyone not of their station, and that makes me love to see them fall on their asses). Andrew and William seem to have their heads on straight- I'm reserving judgement on Harry thus far..... Camilla got exactly what she deserved- a tacky wedding to the human tampon.:D

Gotta say all the royalty crap makes me ill. I realize they are only figureheads, but still.....all the attention they get is amazing.
How can anyone be excited for the marriage of these two people who carried on behind the back of his wife Diana? I see no reason to celebrate them.

I missed all the wedding hullabaloo.....just as I missed the Pope stuff. Been sick all week and finally came up for air this morning. I saw a tiny pic of Camilla's head and assumed that the thing on top of it was from some tribal event on a goodwill mission to Nairobi, not what she wore to her own wedding. Yeesh. It looked like the combover to end all combovers. Me no likey.
I have no opinion about them. I just don't give a rip!!! :p
I think I'll go back to bed until I'm not so grumpalicious. :D

I'm pleased for them and I liked the hats:p . Seriously, I did. Philip Treacy makes the best hats.

Well you realize they were considering the reschedualing due to the looming of the overshadowing of the enormously sad and tragic event.
But then the vatican thought no, the popes funeral shoulden't be moved.
The weding was moved instead to the brittish equivilent of the superbowl heh!

There are hats...then there are quills that resemble dead animals!
Her white hat was not so bad...but that brown thing...ugh!

Am I the only one who really liked her hat?

No, I tend to like all of the showy British hats. I wouldn't wear all of them, but I do enjoy a fine hat.

I loved all the hats... well maybe not in the way that I would wear any of them myself - but I loved that they were all wearing hats.
Hats. Everyone used to wear hats. Now - no one does but baseball fans and cowboys. ;) We need a hat movement.
