I just got back from the park. Disneyland was pleasantly light (not slow like in the old days) for a Sunday night, and we were able to walk around and enjoy things like the fireworks. But I have a couple of questions:

1) We caught the end of some kind of projections and music on Small World. Any one know if this is at certain times?

2) The castle lighting and snow other than durring fireworks- anyone know the times for these?

It was a very long line for Small World, however. Perhaps everyone was there and that's why the rest of the park was managable...

1) Every 15 minutes

2) I don't know, but I thought it was listed in the entertainment guide. I'd ask a Main Street CM.

I don't recall the specific times for the castle lighting, but they are listed on the daily schedule at Disneyland.com so should be on the programs available when you enter the park.

When the fireworks are at 9:25 then the Castle Show is as follows:

5:00 Tree Lighting
5:15 IASW 1st Clock Show
5:30 "When you Wish" Act I
7:30 "When you Dream" Act II
During & After the Fireworks "When you Believe" Act III

When the fireworks are at 8:00 then the Castle Show is as follows:

5:00 Tree Lighting
5:15 IASW 1st Clock Show
6:30 "When you Wish" Act I
7:30 "When you Dream" Act II
During & After the Fireworks "When you Believe" Act III

We were there last night as well, and we discovered that not only does Small World do their 15 min projections thing, they also do an echo of the castle show, with digital snowflakes gathering on the facade. It's rather lovely.

Rather lovely, that is, if you aren't trying to find your stroller with a 3 year old in tow and everyone stops to watch not one, but two projection shows in a row.

I can't say it seemed "pleasantly light" to me last night, the walkways were packed, though the lines for rides were surprisingly doable. I'm not a regular anymore though...

Thanks! That's great!

And I was hopeing the Small Wrold show was every 15, rather than on the hour (when we caught the end of the 9:00 hour).

And CP, I was expecting the huge crowds of Christmas, but saw just a busy weekend. Just a bit less than I expected, and got a decent spot on Main Street for the fireworks 8 minutes before the show.

Yeah, just stick around and watch every weekend get progressively worse. Last night was horribly full even before DCA let out. Luckily, I wasn't GC (I may not get so lucky tonight, that remains to be seen)

That's why we went when we did. But we will try to make it once more before Christmas is over....

Of course you're not GC. You're Morrigoon. Sheesh, I hope you get some time off soon.......

Are you implying that I get lucky a lot? If so, I take offense to that.

But I did get lucky on Saturday but that's besides the point!
:D

Of course, I jest... about the first part any way...

Oh, and the Disneyland Show slip from the front gate does not list the Castle/Christmas Tree lighting and snow, and says nothing about the Small World projection thingy. Thanks for the help, ya'll!!
