Costco has a nifty little trade-in program (http://costco.gazelle.com/) where you can get cash for your unwanted electronics. It's not much (looks comparable to other sites) and it's Costco Cash but it's not a fly-by-night operation.

Looked at the site, but without going any further....do they accept non-working items?

Not sure. I put a camera there that doesn't work and it said no and provided a link to recycle electronics. But it's also an old camera.

Here's the same company (http://www.gazelle.com/) without the Costco referral and you can get paid via check, paypal, WalMart gift card, Amazon.com gift card or donate the money to charity.

ETA: I found an that says Gazelle only takes working electronics. It also references NextWorth (http://www.suntimes.com/technology/guy/1935586,CST-FIN-ECOL12.article) as a place to sell. They are offering $15 more for my BB then Gazelle.
