The box says "Only In Theaters". Since the movie was released to home video last November, I wonder how old these Eggos are...

Pretty old (http://trekmovie.com/2009/05/30/kelloggs-introduces-limited-edition-eggos-with-star-trek-images/). :(
They're frozen waffles. So long as they remained frozen the the entire time I would still give them a try if they were promoting the first Star Trek movie.

I like the way something so overly-processed and perfectly machine-shaped (not to mention properly printed artwork) can say "Homestyle" on the box. I couldn't make anything approaching that in MY home... :D

I think they were promoting the TV show in 1966.

I'm sure I have a pack of "I Love Lucy" waffles around here somewhere... :D
PS: Reading up on them, Eggos sound really nice. *Sigh*. Reason #813746382 to return to the USA.

Eggos are rather scrumptious. Totally lacking in any nutritional value whatsoever, but scrumptious nonetheless.

And it gives kids that jolt of sugar that is needed first thing in the morning.

Eggos are one of my old staple breakfasts. Got me though high school. I still buy a box once in a while. These days I usually just make a batch of Bisquick, keep it in the fridge and use my waffle maker instead.
I refuse to look at the nutritional value - Eggos are good :D

I have to admit, I really only like the blueberry Eggos... with just butter :)

I keep reading the thread title as, "Star Trek Egos," and am disappointed not to read about some battle of the wills between Shatner and Roddenberry or some such.
We never had Eggos, just reg'lar old toaster waffles. I could easily eat an entire box of them without too much effort.
