There's a lot of food on this list! I heard about this on NPR yesterday. So far, no one has gotten sick from the salmonella in the additive, probably because the amount added is so small or the salmonella is killed by cooking.

A good reminder to stay away from processed foods!

The only thing I need to be concerned with is the boullion. Thank you Betty. I haven't had much time for radio or tv this weekend and hadn't heard about any of this,.

I don't eat huge food, so I'm ok.....

But man, this stuff is about everywhere! I think making sure you cook everything very well is good advice. This is real bad for the vegitarians, I think.

And because HVP is a major source of glutimates, it reacts the same way as MSG in people sensitive to it. I get cotton-mouth and heart palps when I eat it (usually the products with a LARGE quantity of the ingredient will do this to me.)

Checked the list, and luckily none of the few processed items I eat are on the list but, WOW!

I was just reading the title of the thread and thinking that this was about a recall of food sold at Costco or Sam's Club
