...they seem to be rebelling.

http://www.nbc4.tv/news/4375027/detail.html

A South Florida man remains hospitalized after steel beams from a passing tractor-trailer fell on him -- one of them impaling him -- while he was waiting for a bus in Fort Lauderdale.

http://www.nbc4.tv/traffic/4378709/detail.html

Police said two people were killed -- one person in the front seat and one in the back seat -- when a "metal object" crashed into their van on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in the Los Feliz area. NBC4 said the vehicle is a green Pontiac Silouette minivan.

Ponine looks up to the exposed metal beams over her head due to installation of solar panels at work... wonders if she should go home and back to bed.

I saw this on the net today-

Reminds me of the piece of a bridge they were building out here over a freeway that fell and slammed into car, killing the whole family inside.

It's so horrible.

Maybe Chris will tell you about the time a washer fell off of a truck in front of him...............(Hint hint).

I missed being burned by falling sparks from overhead welding today by less than a foot - I only stopped walking because I recognized the sound of welding, looked up and saw sparks and bits of metal falling.

To which I must add this photo a friend sent a while back when talking about a certain person we both knew who was a pain in the ass.

Hmmmm, I recall no Washer story...

I do however remember helping move a refrigerator out of your sister's second floor appartment. We go it to the top of the stairs your father behind, me in front, on the downside and the next thing I know the dang thing is chasing after me knocking me into the shrubbery. I never knew I could run backwards down a flight of stair so fast...Was that what you were thinking of?

There is a time when a truck carrying port-a-potties lost one in front of me while driving down the freeway - that was a bizzar road hazard, but was mostly plastic though potentially ****-filled.

Maybe it was the porto-potties. I just know it fell off the truck in front of you going 60 mps and the daran thing BOUNCED on the road and flew over your car, not touching it. Remember now?

(Of course, he could've asked the person sitting next to him to elaborate.)

Ahhh - that would indeed be the Port-a-potty, but agian a poop and plastic hazard, bouncable, unlike metal...

Lol!!!!!

I owe you mojo. Never mind, I'll give it to NA.;)

Well, it may have been a Porta Potty made of plastic that NA was referring to, but wasn't the Plumber's Snake of Death made out of steel? As I recall, you felt imperiled at the time.......

You know this thread is making me think just how dangerous metal really is - this stuff really should have a warning lable or something.

I just know it fell off the truck in front of you going 60 mps...Holy crap. 60 Miles Per Second is like, 216,000 MPH.

You need to slow down a bit € !
