I was doing a Google News search on my man and came across this (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/367242-the-all-decade-minnesota-timberwolves-team#page/2):The All-Decade Minnesota Timberwolves Team
Wally Szczerbiak - Probably the second best Wolf in history, but not one of the better players to ever come here. That seems self-contradicting to me. If He's the 2nd best Wolf in history, how could He not be one of the better, if not best, players to come to the team?

What am I missing?

Hmm, the only thing I can think of is if they're included the Minnesota Lakers in the second statement.

Or, if they were admitting that most of the players that came to play there (visiting teams) were better than their best players.

The argument is being made that while better basketball players spent time with the T-Wolves, only Kevin Garnett did more as a Wolf than your man Wally. For example, Antoine Walker is a better basketball player than Wally, but he made his bones with the Celtics, not the T-Wolves. He sucked for the Wolves.

It's a reference to the fact that a lot of very good players have been rented by the Timberwolves.

Here's (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/317133-top-10-minnesota-timberwolves-of-the-decade#page/11) an earlier article from this same writer in which he lists the top ten performers for the Timberwolves in the last decade. On this list, Wally Szczerbiak is ranked second.

Per the introduction to this new piece, based on feedback the author has now also produced a list of the best basketball players (regardless of where they performed most of that greatness) who played for the Timberwolves in the last decade (and so if Michael Jordan had played one game for the Timberwolves in 2000 he might top the list).

From the introduction to the article you linked to:

This is the All-Timberwolves team. These are the best players to play in a Wolves uniform, regardless of amount of time.So Wally Szczerbiak is merely an honorable mention while Al Jefferson is the decade's best power forward even though he only played a season and a half with the Timberwolves.
