This is the event where I will be previewing my jewelry! Susan and Teresa will also have a booth at the event. There are also lots of great restaurants and some cool music happening throughout the day. Please come by and say Hi!

I so need to get to work.So does Susan. I believe she is off doing something today that she needed a large work space for to make her thingamajigs.

I've resigned to now just making a boat load of my sun catchers and grain-filled comfort sacks. I can turn those both out quickly enough to at least have a decent amount of stock.

Although, I've learned enough crochet skills this week that I'm already working on a couple different bags. They might be ready in time as well. Yay for new craftiness! :)

I've got quite a bit of jewelry as well as dupioni silk roses. Lately, though, I've been working on my merchandising/display and editing photos. The Merchandising I am good at, the photo editing, not so much.

IM conversation with Susan:

Kevin says (7:10 PM):
Since it is being discussed on LoT, are you going to be ready for the craft fair?
Susan says (7:11 PM):
depends on what you mean by ready
yes, I will have stuff to sell, but I'm not sure how much

I've got quite a bit of jewelry as well as dupioni silk roses. Are you making headbands to go with those roses? If not, that's something I could also turn out quickly and they could help sell each other. :)

I probably will not have time to make headbands. If only I didn't have a job!!! Amy is also going to be making some things to add - probably some more types of ribbon flowers and some cute felted flowers.

I finished one of my displays tonight. It looks wonderful. I will finish my signage tomorrow and hopefully get my card art completed soon so I can order those. So much to do, so little time!

I'm going to test a few crochet ones and see how they turn out. If so, I'll bring some, and then pitch your roses to go with 'em! :)

And, thankfully, I've got a couple people helping out now, so I might actually have enough stuff to make it through the day. Whew!

I need to tell myself that it's ok to concentrate on the crafts instead of my other work, because it's going to pull in immediate income.

Part of wanting to ramp up production is due to my new craft books that just arrived at my doorstep. I wanna make everything!

That said, NA - I'll probably have some thin crochet beanies to help sell your roses too. Those are really popular right now from what I've seen at another recent craft fair - beanies with interchangeable adornments and flowers. :)

How's your stuff coming along, NA?

(Figured I'd also bump this thread to remind folks about the event. ;) )

If I could stop working at one job long enough I could finish the other things I need to do!

Every second is going to be taken until Saturday and I might even give out assignments to Chris - you know, to help him with his ambivalent ennui and all.

A close friend went with me to the district today, then came back to my place and stayed for 6 hours and cut out over 120 fabric squares for the comfort sacks while I was able to get other work done.

I also think I'm now Bohemian Crystal's most valued customer. They packed all my stuff in a reusable fabric shopping bag today. I also greatly exceeded my record for what I've spent in one trip there.

The rest of this week is full to the minute, and I still need to make signage and info/price tags for all of my items.

NA - do we still need bags?

I have small jewelry bags but nothing that will fit larger items.

Looks like we'll be able to make an appearance. Two outings in one day for us and the bebe! With a nice nap in the middle, to be sure.

Same here so far. I'll pick up some bags to fit my larger stuff. :)

Do you know what time we can get there to set up? (If you sent email to my Leftlane account, I probably didn't get it, as it's having issues.)

CP - I can't wait to meet the bebe! :D

I just sent out an email (or e:mail) to everyone.

I think I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel - or maybe it's just an oncoming train.

I am buying a Caravan 10 x 10 Canopy (http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10012416&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC%7C50126%7C28180%7C79359&N=4035311&Mo=2&pos=2&No=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=79359&Ns=P_Price%7C1%7C%7CP_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&ec=BC-EC28048-Cat28180&topnav=) today. It will either be the one from Costco (which includes walls if you need them) or (if Costco doesn't get them in today as planned), the same thing, but without the walls from Sports Chalet.

I don't know if you will even need the walls, but they (may) there if you do.

Is there anything else Susan needs to bring (besides her crafts)? She is big-time stressing to get everything done, so I am trying to help where I can.

And she probably knows, but what time are we supposed to be there tomorrow?

I'm shooting to arrive at 8 am. I have an overnight and I just got a last minute dog walk added in, so, we'll see. I'm going to load the car tonight. Chris will be there in the AM to help set up. The kids will probably stay at home.

Today, I have a reasonable to do list, but I also have limited time. Let's see if I get stuff done. If not, oh well!

Is that 8:00 a.m. PDT or LST (Lisa Standard Time)? ;)

The 10 x 10 has been purchased - no walls.

This type of event is perfect for us. We're able to nurse when he's hungry, change endless diapers, pass him around when he's active and put him in the stroller to let him nap.

I didn't realize how much I missed everyone until we saw you guys. As we walked up I felt an ache in my heart! :)

Today, I discovered I have a new favorite bebe. :D Mr. Theo is beyond adorable!

And, I am exhausted. It was a pretty successful day, even though overall traffic at the vendor booths was relatively low. But, I'm happy that my first attempt at a "lemonade stand" worked, and I can't wait to do it again! :snap:

Yesterday was a fantastic day! I'm so happy so many people I know came by! I sold quite a bit and got a better idea of what people respond to. I got to test out my display for the first time, too and was pretty happy with things (except for that pesky wind). My day ended up being 21 hour long and I am grateful to be done with commitments for the day and have the rest of the day to enjoy the scents of roses and jasmine wafting into the bedroom with the amazing breeze. Contentment reigns!

Awww, all of cool pics of the LoT "kids" (yes, I'm comparing Thurston and Kimchi to Theo :D).

Theo got to the event and I had him out of his stroller in under a hot minute, he then got passed around for a while and did REALLY well with all of the man-handling. Thurston arrived a bit later and Kevin had him off the ground into cuddle mode in an instant. Now, tell me these aren't both LoT "kids"?

The pugs' status as LoT kids will never be threatened

(LoT Kidz sounds like one of those Muppet Babies type shows.....kids with martinis and piles of bacon?)

Hey - can I steal the pic you got of my suncatchers? (With proper photo credit, of course.) I never did get a decent photo that day, and I've had people asking to see them, so I'd love to post it in various places. :)
