Just announced a couple hours ago.
I was starting to be bummed about our Palm Pre purchase. Not that I don't still love the phone, but, despite respectable sales, it hasn't received the public attention that Android has and therefore WebOS was floundering as a platform for apps. But this changes everything. From the looks of it HP is likely to put a lot of money in to development and marketing of WebOS, with the end game being an iPad competitor running WebOS.
I've had the opportunity to use HP tablet PCs a couple times. While they were bulky when compared to the iPad, they were quality products. So they have some knowledge of the tablet form factor. And now they've upgraded the OS big time. Exciting.
