It looks like I am going to Atlanta, GA for a meeting on Monday the 25th. I figured I would go out on Saturday to take a look around.
Anybody know anything about the town? Any "must see" sites, "must do" experiences, or "must eat at" restaurants?
You can always visit the site of the olympic bombing.

Also you can go to the CNN Experience (http://www.cnn.com/StudioTour/) .

Haven't been there since I was 10 but I did see online that they are having some kind of a festival (http://www.inmanpark.org/fest2005.php) that weekend.
You can go to www.atlanta.net and get some info on restaurants and events.

Check out Centennial Olympic Park. You can park your car and take a nice walk around the area.

The Buckhead District is very nice; a lot of restaurants, bars and nightlife. The area of Buckhead itself is very upscale. If you like to drive around and look at homes, there are some gorgeous estates to drool over here.

Stone Moutain Park is 16 miles east of downtown Atlanta:

The Varsity - It's a well known dining establishment (casual fast food):

You could check out Turner Field (http://atlanta.braves.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/schedule/index.jsp?c_id=atl&m=4&y=2005), there are some home games that weekend. Although going alone would suck, I guess.

He would be at a braves game so that would be a foregone conclusion.

Yeah, they're playing the Phillies that day. Yawn.
BTW: interesting to note that the NATIONALS (fka Montreal Expos) are leading the National League East by a game and a half.

It's definitly Nat's fever around here. I was at the home opener and Saturdays game both of which were wins for the nats.
The vendors were a complete mess, lines at least two innings long, out of just about everything, etc... I expect that will get better over time but as long as the team keeps winning I can just pack some KFC and do just fine.

It's definitely Nat's fever around here.Which is much better than gnat fever.
Gnat's eyebrow fever is recognized in its victims by a very strong desire to create UML diagrams that are extremely detailed. Not to be confused with comfort zone fever, where detailed modeling is a side effect of emotional factors, afflictees of gnat's eyebrow fever emphatically believe that it is important to model to very low levels of detail because doing so increases the probability that the resulting code will be more correct. Because of variables such as flux in system requirements and dependent design activities occurring in parallel, for example, the time spent on low-level modeling is often better applied to actual implementation.
Clinical research has shown a high affliction rate of gnat's eyebrow fever in those modelers who have not actually participated in coding activities. A theory supporting the research findings suggests that the coding experience is very important to developing a sense of value that provides modelers with insight into what is and what is not valuable to downstream clients of the model.

So far the only thing that has really grabbed my attention is the Coke Museum. Probably just some random exploration.
