I am traveling to NJ all by myself to see Bon Jovi at the new Giants Stadium. Due to funds i will not have a rental car and am confused as far as booking a hotel close to the venue as possible. I'm willing to take public transportation to and from if need be. Since some of you are east coast knowledgeable i thought maybe someone could possibly help.

There's the train and the bus. What you choose will depend on how early you need to be at the stadium. Do you have general admission, or assigned seats? If assigned seats, you can probably plan to take the train. I'm not that familiar with where it picks up, so you should explore the options here (http://www.newmeadowlandsstadium.com/directions.php#transit).

The cheaper hotels will be in NJ, not NY. Do a search on Seacaucus, and search for hotels close to Giants Stadium. Keep in mind that just because the hotel is close doesn't mean you'll be able to walk from there to the stadium. There are a lot of busy roads and highways around there.

Ty for your help. Yeah i know there are busy roads and highways. I don't plan on walking but plan on taking a taxi to and from the stadium god willing since I plan to stay in NJ as close to the stadium as i possibly can within 2 miles hopefully.

I have assigned seats 5th row PIT but have to be there at a certain time to pick up my ticket and stuff and i do get a BACKSTAGE TOUR so i have to be there in plenty of time to sign a waiver etc too. :)

MMG, let me email a buddy in NJ to see if she can help with a safe and close spot.

Google Maps has a bus and train mapping option that you can use to see how far/what the best way to the stadium is from a hotel you are looking at.

Rose, my NJ friend sent me this:

I have never stayed at any of them, but there are plenty of reasonable hotels around Giants Stadium. Anything on Rt. 3 in Seacaucus would probably be a good choice and they would only be a 5-10 minute taxi ride to East Rutherford.

Not sure if your friend is on a super tight budget, but Hilton Homewood Suites is always a great value IMO :-)

Ask if you can crash in the tour bus.

I think she'd do that in a heartbeat if they'd let her!

I don't have any advice but have a great time Rose!

I'm a bitter east coaster, but NJ is like the crazy uncle you're afraid to be alone with so I won't be much help. Sorry.

If Bon ever plays the White House give me a call.

lol funny i tried google maps and they were of no help as far as distance from the venue (Giants stadium) to a hotel. But i posted on the fan club board since most are from New Jersey and have gotten huge response back. I appreciate all the help on here so far.

Oh i would crash the tour bus in a heartbeat if i could trust me. As it is i'm 5th row PIT so i know i'm gonna get noticed yet again. That and the daily tweeting of song requests lol...

Moonliner you got it. Trust me. This is my first show ever in New Jersey at the new Giants Stadium and it won't be my last. :)

lol Kevy it depends on who catches me flashing first or who looks my way first...lol it could be Richie it could be Jon it could be both. And yeah it's happened "by accident" that's my story and i'm sticking to it...lol and i'd do it again in a heartbeat too..if it gets their attention...lol

Someone is going to have a story to tell when they get back.

Jon Bon Jovi really was "Livin' on a Prayer" last night after he injured his calf during a concert at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey, but finished the show like a champ
