We so loved the decorations in/outside of the Haunted House at DL, a kind (and patient) employee told me that this is the seventh year and each year is a bit different. Any tales and photos folks have to share, please please do!

thanks

That kind a patient employee is unfortunately incorrect. This is actually the 9th year, the first was in 2002.

The 2nd year saw significant changes over the first, with the addition of all of the Oogie Boogie elements you still see today. Unfortunately that's where they stopped, with the only real change year-to-year being the gingerbread house centerpiece in the ballroom.

I'll let someone else tell the full tale of these two pictures:

1518

1519

The first 2 -3 years were wonderous. Our Tarot Deck is still one of the prized possessions. But, the story of the cymbal monkey vs the CM!!!!! Priceless.

That kind a patient employee is unfortunately incorrect. This is actually the 9th year, the first was in 2002.And the kind patient GD is incorrect too: the first year was 2001.

THe do still make changes every year, but they are VERY minor and not even worth discussing.

Well it was new to me, and I hopped up and down in my "black Christmas sleigh" like a little girl :)

I don't think I've been on Haunted Mansion Holiday for the last 3 seasons, so it might just be fun again.

Or maybe not. I got tired of it. I don't know why I never get tired of the Haunted Mansion, but I do get bored with the overlay.

The updated Madam Leota room looked pretty cool this year (from the pics, I have yet to go) -- she floats in the overlay finally!!
