Good news, everyone in DC is going to get a good nights sleep because they won't be staying up late to watch the second half of tonight's game.

Redskins down 45 to 14 at the half.

They make even the Nats look good.

As far as the McNabb extension goes, let me just say I loves it when real events conspire to make every sports pundit and analyst in the world look like an idiot.

Redskins down 45 to 14 at the half.Look at the bright side: by the end of the game, the Skins got the points ratio down from 3:1 to just 2:1!

I believe you are missing the overall point of my post.

The Redskins being down by 31 at the half was the bright side. It's too bad they caught up even a little.

Actually he had himself a pretty big game. More interceptions than you might like, but when you're in that big of a hole you have to take bigger risks to stand a chance. I think the 'skins' ownership would be happy to get the kind of performance McNabb gave for the next 22 games or so.

That's not the looking stupid thing I was talking about.

I was talking about the 2 weeks of discussion of his benching in the previous game and how that made it an absolute certainty that McNabb would never, ever, even consider playing another season with the Redskins.

Then, of course, yesterday they're all explaining why his benching actually made the extension more likely.

In a dream list night I confidently picked the Steelers to win the Super Bowl.

In the dream I also had dinner with my parents and John C. Reilly who was living with me (possibly as a gay partner? That wasn't clear in the dream), with John insisting on spending the entire dinner acting like one of his absurd characters, annoying the hell out of my parents.

So factor that in when deciding to take my betting advice.

Given your support of the Steelers, I submit that your dream self actually became gay for and brought home Ben Roethlisberger. However, to make this more acceptable to your parents and, perhaps, to yourself, your dream mind turned your gay lover into independent film fixture John C. Reilly. As expected, he misbehaved in front of your parents, perhaps by becoming his porn actor character from Boogie Nights, but, to what I assume is your great relief, he did not sexually assault your mother in the bathroom. So, there's a future there.
