Hello all!
As some of you may know, we have a slew of birthdays in our family in May. Mine is the 4th, my daugter's the 7th, my mom's the 8th. We tend to celebrate them together, usually at Disneyland. My daughter hasn't made it to DL these past few years, but my mom and I always go, this year we are going on Wed. the 4th, and daughter with us.
Last year I surprized my mom by getting her in the cabin to pilot the Mark Twain (she didn't know you could do that). That one is pretty easy if the Twain is running.
This year I'd like to try to get into the Lilly Belle, if it's on the tracks. Anyone know the best way to do that? I know it depends on many factors, including weather and staffing. Can it be arranged ahead of time?
Any other ideas for something special? Having pretty much grown up at the park and have had APs for 17 years there's not much we haven't done already, but there may be something I haven't thought of that you fine folks may know about.
We are planning to have picnic lunch "seats" for world of color to top off the evening ( DD hasn't seen, mom & I once, but before TRON add on).
Thanks for any ideas!
~Bob

How about a "tender" ride on the train?

I forgot about that (and have always wanted to)! But we want to be able to do it together, can this be done with three adult average size people? Do you just ask a train CM? Perhaps if we can't get on the Lilly Belle, this can be our plan B.
How about one of the "Tours?"This is a great idea as well, but with three birthdays in a week, I've maxed out my expenses for the month. I'll look into it, though. I don't think my daughter has ever been on one.

Someone call me?
Lilly Belle involves, to a large extent, getting lucky. But you can help that along by asking at the right times. Around 6pm the trains refuel, usually not a good time. Late at night is also not a great time as there often isn't the staff coverage. I would try mid-morning or after lunch as your best times. Understand that they can't really "schedule" a Belle ride as they can't guarantee it, but be nice about it and they'll usually do their best to accommodate.
Oh, and the tender will only fit 2 adults.

Of course! I was hopeing you'd chime in!
Thanks for the hints on the train. I knew it would be sketchy, and that advice on the timeing helps. I think from our plans that between 2 to 4 pm is the time we will try. I assume the CM at the queue would be the one to ask? (And trust me, I'm always nice to the CMs, and very polite even when dissapointed. After all, it's not their fault in most cases).

Yeah, ask the one wearing the radio, standing inside Main Street Station.

I keep trying to figure out why RStar wants to do something special for BartopDancer
Or is it that he wants to do something for a Blu Ray Disc?
I am so confused

That would be BTD, wouldn't it?

Perhaps home made porn on BluRay Disc? Na......
(And don't confuse that with "NA")
I am so confused

I was trying to find out how much the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour is, but could find nothing. Any one know where I can find this out?

Thanks Kevy! I'll show you my boobs next time I see you! ;)
I looked all over that website for the details and pricing! All it would say is to call the phone number. Nearly $200 for the 3 of us....Yikes. It does include lunch, though.

Yeah, the tours are often close to the cost of a park ticket
