When you are ready for that one last exit sign, this is the ride for you (http://twistedphysics.typepad.com/)....

“Euthanasia Coaster” is a hypothetical euthanasia machine in the form of a roller coaster engineered to humanely – with elegance and euphoria – take the life of a human being.

If I was a dying billionaire, I'd totally build this.

Also, that John Allen quote is on the wall of my office :)

Also, that John Allen quote is on the wall of my office :)

John Allen, former president of the famed Philadelphia Toboggan Company, once said that “the ultimate roller coaster is built when you send out twenty-four people and they all come back dead. This could be done, you know.

Meh, A electromagnetic launch into a brick wall could do that. Building a coaster where you send out twenty-four people and twenty-three come back dead, now would be a feat.

I insist that decapitation be involved

I would prefer the gracefulness of death by G-force over blunt trauma myself.

I'd prefer to die peacfully in my sleep like my Grandfather; not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car.

I could see CoasterMatt riding this unscathed.

Just posting here to make sure I get Matt's attention.

So what's the scoop? What's Bush Gardens building (http://www.wtop.com/?nid=41&sid=2439429)?

A slight non-sequitor:

Six Flags Magic Mountain is advertising that they have "Three New Rollercoasters." While Green Lantern is new (opening July 1), how are they advertising that Superman is new?!? Because they turned around the cars/trains (or whatever they are called), that makes it a new ride? And is the third one (I can't remember which one it is) - is that 'new' or just some old ride that you sit sideways in now?

It's where the kddie coaster near Thomastown was. It's new and adults and kids can ride it. Superman is advertised as new because it did get new ride vehicles, launches backwards and does go 100 mph so therebare technically 3 new coasters

DCA has a couple new rides. One they just down down the shade structure and changed the music. The other they just painted blue.

They advertise it as 3 new rollercoaster experiences

Disney didn't advertise a "new" Matterhorn or Splash when they f*cked with the vehicles...

In all honesty, I really don't care all that much.

Disney advertised the hell out of Matterhorn when they added Harold and the double car sleds in 1978.

The new cars on Superman really do change the experience, ALOT - it's really different to be nearly 400 ft. off the ground looking STRAIGHT DOWN as opposed to having no visual clue as to where you were at all before.

Sooo.. they copied the idea off the Tower Of Terror in Dreamworld. Meh. It's still better. Ask Robb Alvey. :p
