This is a concert (http://www.hollywoodbowl.com/tickets/performance-detail.cfm?id=4568) I thought would be of general interest. I know it's on my Hollywood Bowl wishlist for this year.

And just to make it super extra awesome, John Mauceri will be conducting!

Just thought I'd let everyone know, since tickets will be on sale to the general public on May 7th. (Of course, they're on presale to people on the mailing list, so anybody smart enough to enter 90YEARS in the promotions and special offers box could order their tickets right now...)

Yeah, I was planning on trying for tickets early Saturday morning. I was going to buy advance tix, but you had to buy a bunch of shows, and I didn't want to spend that much money. So are you saying I could order today if I enter "90YEARS" in the promotions box? Cool, I think I'll try that.

Of course, no way we could all sit together doing it this way ... but a picnic beforehand could be nice!

Too hard to get everyone sitting together, IMHO.

Ok, just got tix for me and Beaumark, for the Saturday show. If anyone else attends, let's picanic beforehand, eh?

There were a few other things I wanted to see this year. Notably, not a single one of them the standard classical fare I used to see at the Bowl a few times each summer. But that kind of thing adds up quickly. I think it's just Fantasia and perhaps one other this season.

Yeah, I wasn't super excited about this season.

I managed to find five things, so I could get pre-sale tix ... but I was pretty meh about half of them, and five shows is expensive!

Ironic that I thought of the Fantasia concert as not the "classical standard fare" I've been used to at the Bowl since antiquity. Of course, that's really precisely what it is. Heheh.

The ones I am getting are Fantasia (for that same saturday), Hairspray, singing stars of TV, and Dolly Parton :) But yeah it hasn't been as good a lineup since John Mauceri left to teach.

Cherny: Make sure to get that order in... they go out to general public tomorrow! Use that code (1st post) if you can't reach your buddy.
