(I always struggle to make something good at the last minute so I'm planning ahead a bit.)

If you want a showtune on there, "A Weekend in the Country" by Sondheim is fun.
If you want some Disney in the mix for off-roading -- the Indiana Jones ride soundtrack rocks!!! (We listened to that while off-roading in Hawai'i)

John Denver!
There's a theme for the outing. Music by singers who died in some form of transportation. Jim Croce, Buddy Holly, Otis Redding, etc.

Thank you for the great suggestions. I hadn't thought of the Indiana Jones soundtrack although we previously went wheelin to the soundtrack from Pirates so that sounds great.
Many of these I haven't heard of and will have to go look up. Cool! I love some new music.

How about some music? That would be nice! :D
When I was a kid, and we went on the road, it was Bread and the Carpenters. But times have chaged, and that would likely put you to sleep.
You could put a little Mac Mcanally, as well as some Illo on there...

Gordon Lightfoot was great for driving into Yosemite, but not sure if he'd be that good for offroading. I second the John Denver suggestion!

Damn it. My trip was cancelled. That's the problem with planning with a few other people - more people to flake.
Still - I can still get soemthing put together for next time with this list. Thanks everyone.
