I don't know enough about pugs to tell if this (http://business.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/18/no-shih-tzu-pug-nosed-dogs-banned-on-airlines/?hpt=hp_c2) is a good thing or a bad thing.

Flat-faced canines can no longer fly Cathay Pacific. And their feline friends need to make other travel plans, too.

As of Monday, the airline has banned the so-called brachycephalic breeds due to concerns that certain types of short-nosed animals have an increased risk of breathing problems and overheating due to the stress of flying.

Used in the second paragraph:

brachycephalic breeds = short-head breeds

Used in the ninth paragraph:

brachyphalic dogs = short-penis dogs

NO Brachy breed should EVER fly in the cargo area due to unregulated heat more than related stress and most airlines don't currently allow it (some still do and oftentimes, the dogs die). Brachy breeds include Pugs, Bostons, Bulldogs (French & English), Boxers, Pekes - all popular dogs. Pekes and Pugs are usually the only ones under the weight limit of 20lbs to be in the cabin. Some airlines have temperature controlled cargo areas and Brachy Breeds can fly in those. Kimchi got here from the DMZ that way.

Flat faced cats have the same issues.

Brachy breeds are not the most sturdy of animals, but they sure are cute.
