At our Starbucks, something wonderful happened this afternoon. They took down the little snowflake next to the Pumpkin Spice Latte and put up a little cup. It's going to be on the regular menu, as long as it continues to get ordered!

I'm thrilled! :)

For now. As my husband pointed out, it's not going to be such the treat in say.....April. But for now, I'm ecstatic. I enter Starbucks each day filled with trepidation, thinking THIS is the day that my Pumpkin Spice will be no more......and everyday it's been there, right where I need it...coursing through my veins (okay, my digestive system, really....but veins sounded cooler).

Hallelujah!

I did buy several bottles of Gingerbread syrup to get me through any rough patches this winter, by the way. Gotta love those 50% off sales. :D

At my Starbucks my girl told me they had a TON of Gingerbread left, so I'm good through Feb. probably this was me >>>>> :D

Ohhhhhhh! I hope that is true for all Starbucks. I'll have to check out ours. I keep going in and holding my breath everytime I order a pumpkin chai latte. I keep waiting for them to say "No more pumpking syrup." I had a regular chai a couple of weeks ago and it no longer does it for me. Gotta have that pumpkin syrup.

I noticed this at my Starbucks today, too. However, I've been Pumpkined out for about a month now.....but maybe in a month or so I'll be thrilled that it's still there.

I too noticed that yesterday! The pumpkin spice latte was still up and the other 3 holiday ones were gone. I will keep ordering it! I love them! I usually get them or vanilla latte, so I'm set! In theory....

Pumpkin was on the menu but Gingerbread was off. However, they were still able to make me a Gingerbread Latte. (And I do have a burbon-sided bottle of the syrup ay home).

Claire - you are the source of my demise! It was YOU who turned me on to the glory of Pumpkin Spice Latte and I have not ordered anything different since!

In fact, I was just thinking, should I stop right after I leave the house this morning and drink mine on the way to work... or stop as I get close to work and drink it while I'm at work.

It's just sooooo good. In a way, I wish they would stop carrying it so I can fight my addiction. It's getting expensive... and I have to hide my cups so no one knows just how often I go!

While I'm not digging the Pumpkin Spice Latte (sorry girls!!), my important announcement is this:

The one and only Starbucks in town (that opened no more than 3 months ago) has decided to stay open 24 hours, 7 days a week!! Now I can get my caffine on 24/7.

Betty, my addiction is pretty bad as well. As a resolution, I'm tracking my coffee spending. I shudder to think what will happen when my gift cards run out!!

Yeah baby! Pumpkin Spice! Not sure how that will go over when it's 105 here in the summer..but we'll manage somehow! I'm in the minority here in Tucson...They actually have to ask me if I want my lattes HOT! Lattes over ice...eeew!

And yep...the new chocolate drink comes out tomorrow...http://www.starbucks.com/retail/chanticolanding.asp

Liquid chocolate!

Green with envy, girl.

I'm not looking forward to the chocolate drink. :( Sounds too sweet for me....I juuuuuust got used to the sweetness of the gingerbread lattes. :D

But in a PMS pinch, it might do the job. ;)

I think Scary Spice is much cooler than Pumpkin Spice. ;)

Actually I do like the pumpkin spice fraps. What I do *not* like are those pesky eggnog/espresso drinks that show up around the holidays. I still think that eggnog + espresso = flavour of liquefied bacon. Don't ask me for a chemical formula.

Alas, Pumpkin still hasn't made it to our shores:(

I did try it once, in San Francisco, but I found it to be <gasp!> a little sweet for me. Then I remembered that it's good with soy - silly me! Nevermind - I stuck to my Gingerbread lattes and totally enjoyed them. That new hot chocolate sounds amazing, btw.

I guess that for me, I would almost rather have the anticipation and reports of which Starbucks is at. There's something to be said for a little longing. If it was there all the time, would we have been able to have such asinine, but hilariously fun, threads about pumpkin spiced lattes?

Much like everything, I relish the anticipation of something great around the corner. A brand new day. I like having something to look forward to.

Plus, I got pumpkined out in December at some point. I'm still doing gingerbread, but that's gonna slow out once the weather warms...

I mixed it up in December.....one day a peppermint mocha, the next a gingerbread, occasionally a pumpkin spice. Now I'm back on my daily (sometimes twice daily when my husband surprises me with one :) ) pumpkin spice soy latte. I'm so used to it now, that I haven't have a plain latte in a long, long time.....gulp.

I like the pumpkin spice but I think gingerbread has a much better flavor. If only pumpkin spice was a bit stronger. Does Starbucks carry any other special flavors for latte's other then the Holiday season?

Some Starbucks are giving free samples of the new chocolate drink tomorrow 4-5. Wouldn't you know? I'm at work *ugh*

My friends tried it and said it was WAY too chocolatey.

It looks a lot like the Hot Chocolate they serve in Spain. That stuff is amazing ~ it's like drinking chocolate mousse:D

Ok...tried it yesterday! It ROCKS! (Only if you seriously love chocolate will you love this drink!)

Kat and I had a free sample yesterday...it's like drinking a melted Hershey bar...no..make that a melted Godiva bar...It's not too too sweet..kinda has a "homemade" hot chocolate taste to it...They serve it in a small espresso cup...and you must sip it! But it was goooouuuuuddd!

And they make great chocolate moustaches!

Well I dont know where I was all last year, but my barista informed me this morning, as I mourned the loss of my peppermint mocha...
that they always have peppermint syrup, and they even still have the sprinkles!

Now.. why didnt I know this last year after the holiday season?!?!?!?

I tried the pumpkin, and the ginerbread.. you can keep em.

Me? Peppermint moch.. or pepp mocha frap
Mocha frap w/ hazlenut....
hmm.. or Black tea lemonade, four valencia, two raspberry.

Well, I tried the Chantico this morning....and.....well.....how do I put it....it reminded me of that last quarter inch of sludge in the bottom of a mocha cup. It didn't taste bad at all....it's just too thick and sweet for me, with that slightly grainyish chocolatey feeling afterward. I like chocolate as much as the next gal, but I have a low sweets limit.

It's definitely for sipping. I had a hard time getting all the way through it (I had to chase each sip with a Sumatra chaser!). I think my daughters will really like it though. I'm going to bring Chloe in for a sample after preschool.

I could see sipping it, and dipping strawberries in it late at night after a movie or something, but unfortunately, my neighbor Starbucks all close at 8! :p

I tried it too yesterday. Mine handed out the rolled dipping cookie with it and that was good. It definitely needs something else to go with it-cookies, vanilla ice cream.
