My court date to try and amend the child/spousal support is on Thursday. On that day, Mr. Ass wants the Jetta back.
*shrug*
I plan on giving it back to him on Thursday. But, as a parting gift, I plan on leaving a CD in the changer with some choice songs.
Some of the things that my friend and I have thought up so far are:
Tainted Love by Soft Cell
(I hate) Everything about You by Ugly Kid Joe
etc...
If you have any ideas, throw em here!
Thanks!!

One song you may like is Tina Turner's 'When The Heartache Is Over':
" Time to move on with my life now
Leaving the past all behind
I can make my own decisions
It was only a matter of time
Sometimes I look back in anger
Thinking about all the pain
But I know that I'm stronger without you
And that I'll never need you again
When the heartache is over
I know I won't be missing you
Won't look over my shoulder
Cause I know that I can live without you "

ALANIS MORISSETTE LYRICS
"You Oughta Know"
I want you to know, that I'm happy for you
I wish nothing but the best for you both
An older version of me
Is she perverted like me
Would she go down on you in a theatre
Does she speak eloquently
And would she have your baby
I'm sure she'd make a really excellent mother
Cause the love that you gave that we made wasn't able
To make it enough for you to be open wide, no
And every time you speak her name
Does she know how you told me you'd hold me
Until you died, till you died
But you're still alive.....
Not Afraid

How about Green Day's "Good Riddance"
Another turning point
A fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist
Directs you where to go
So make the best of this test
And don't ask why
It's not a question
But a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs
And still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf of
Good health and good time
Tattoos of memories
And dead skin on trial
For what it's worth
It was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
It's something unpredictable
But in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life
Or, you could always go with GLoria Gaynor's "I Will Survive"

How about Ben Folds' "Song for the Dumped"? Though it's not appropriate for your situation per se, it does say "I'm glad to be rid of you."
So you wanted
to take a break
Slow it down some and
have some space
Well **** you too
Give me my money back
Give me my money back
you bitch
I want my money back
(And don't forget to give
me back my black T-Shirt)
I wish I hadn't
bought you dinner
Right before you dumped me
on your front porch
Give me my money back
Give me my money back
You bitch
I want my money back
and don't forget...

(I hate) Everything about You by Ugly Kid Joe
This was going to be my suggestion!
Also, though they're not gender appropriate, but I still crank them up and shout, er, sing along:

Love Stinks - J. Geils Band
The Breakup Song - Greg Kihn Band
D-I-V-O-R-C-E - (A country song - I'll try to find who does it)
Already Gone - Eagles
Truck Driver Divorce - Frank Zappa
Wild Thing - The Sam Kinison version absolutely freakin hilarious, unfortunately it is from the guy's perspective
This Love - Pantera (see lyrics below)
50 Ways to Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon
Goodbye To You - Scandel
Time to Say Goodbye - Sarah Brightman
Free - Stereo MC's
After the Love is Gone - Earth Wind and Fire
_____
This Love - Pantera
If ever words were spoken
Painful and untrue
I said I loved but I lied
In my life
All I wanted
Was the keeping
Of someone like you
As it turns out
Deeper within me
Love was twisted and pointed at you
Never ending pain, quickly ending life --
(Chorus) You keep this love, thing, child, toy
You keep this love, fist, scar, break
You keep this love
I'd been the tempting one
Stole her from herself
This gift in pain
Her pain was life
And sometimes I feel so sorry
I regret this the hurting of you
But you make me so unhappy
I'd take my life and leave love with you
I'd kill myself for you, I'd kill you for myself --
(Chorus)
No more head trips

How about...
Like It Or Not, by Genesis
Ah, don't you know, I've been on my own
But I'm coming home.
And I'd like you to be there,
I feel a little cold in the air,
And you're not anywhere.
You're just another face, I used to know.
But there is still a chance to hold on to our love,
'Cos I gave you everything, everything I had.
Ooh, like it or not
You have done it this time
And like it or not, I've had enough.
Ooh, like it or not
There's a lot I could say
'Cos I've got a lot on my mind.
It won't be very long
You're just another face
That I once used to know
And I gave you everything,
But what have I got to show? Oh Oh
Oh, like it or not
You are out on the street
And like it or not
That's where you will stay.
Oh, like it or not
There's another thing darling,
Well I just could not stand another day
'Cos if you want to know,
That there is still a chance to hold on to our love
'Cos I gave you everything
Everything I had - Everything I had.
It's been a long, been a long long time
Since I held anybody, since I loved anyone.
Oh it's been a long, been a long long long time
But if I'm right or if I'm wrong, does it matter anyway?
It's been a long long long long time
Since I held anybody, since I loved anyone.
Ooh it's been a long long long long time
But if I'm right or if I'm wrong, does it matter anyway?
Ooh it's been a long long long long time
Since I held anybody, since I loved anyone.
Oh it's been a long, been a long long long time
I'm right, if I'm wrong, does it matter anyway?
It's been a long long, long long long time
Since I held anybody, since I held anyone.
Only one song is needed, but it should be repeated the length of the CD -- this is supposed to annoy the poor chap, am I correct? Then trust me. The song in question is a bouncy little pop ditty titled, You're Breaking My Heart, by the late great Harry Nilsson (with Harisong on guitar)
(singing)
"You're breaking my heart
You tore it apart
So F*** you."

Song: Im Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair - Rodgers and Hammerstein
(Featuring libraryvixen as Nellie, Girls: everyone else)
Nellie:
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
And send him on his way.
I'm gonna wave that man right outa my arms,
Nellie and Girls:
I'm gonna wave that man right outa my arms,
I'm gonna wave that man right outa my arms,
And send him on his way.
Don't try to patch it up
Girls:
Tear it up, tear it up!
Nellie:
Wash him out, dry him out,
Girls:
Push him out, fly him out,
Nellie:
Cancel him and let him go!
Girls:
Yea, sister!
Nellie:
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
I'm gonna wash that man right outa my hair,
And send him on his way.
If a man don't understand you,
If you fly on separate beams,
Waste no time, make a change,
Ride that man right off your range.
Rub him out of the roll call
And drum him out of your dreams.
Girls:
Oho! If you laugh at different comics,
If you root for different teams,
Waste no time, weep no more,
Show him what the door is for.
Rub him out of the roll call
And drum him out of your dreams.
Nellie:
You can't light a fire when the woods are wet,
Girls:
No!
Nellie:
You can't make a butterfly strong,
Girls:
Hmm, hmm!
Nellie:
You can't fix an egg when it ain't quite good,
Girls:
And you can't fix a man when he's wrong!
Nellie:
You can't put back a petal when it falls from a flower,
Or sweeten up a fellow when he starts turnin' sour
Girls:
Oh no! Oh no!
Nellie and Girls:
If his eyes get dull and fishy,
When you look for glints and gleams,
Waste no time,
Make a switch,
Drop him in the nearest ditch!
Rub him out of the roll call,
And drum him out of your dreams
Oho! Oho!
Nellie:
I went to wash that man right outa my hair,
I went to wash that man right outa my hair,
I went to wash that man right outa my hair,
And sent him on his way.
Girls:
She went to wash that man right outa my hair,
She went to wash that man right outa my hair,
She went to wash that man right outa my hair,
Nellie and Girls:
And send him on his way!

"U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D" from Starlight Express (it's a train motif using Country Western pastiche):
I've been U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D.
I can't bring myself to say it. No siree.
I'm a carriage with no marriage
I'm a van without a man
I've been U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D.
Was I corroded or overloaded?
Maybe I shamed him
Who could have blamed him?
If he thought me second-class
Went in search of chrome and brass
Went to find some other fool like me.
And I'm just U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D.
I can't seem to stop C.R.Y.I.N.G.
People look and me and think,
"There she goes the missing link"
She's been U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D.
And I'm just U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D.
But I'll get my R.E.V.E.N.G.E.
He'll come crawling back one day
And I'll turn to him and say,
"Go away, you B.A.S.T.A.R.D."

A couple by Eurythmics:
"You Hurt Me (And I Hate You)"
Well the sun came up this morning
Like a burning red balloon.
It broke into my window
And it slipped across the room.
It spread itself upon me
Like the smell of sweet perfume.
I was sleeping like a baby.
I'm not a saviour
I'm not a saint
I'm not an angel
I'm not that quaint
Don't need a preacher
To be that wise.
Don't need a teacher
I've got my eyes.
You hurt me & I hate you
You hurt me
A history of bitterness
You have left a blazing trail.
If you had been a hammer
I'd be a broken nail.
You gave me nothing
Nothing but regrets.
Don't think it's over
It's not over yet.
You hurt me & I hate you
You hurt me.
And everytime
You try to fool yourself
You've only got yourself
To blame.
And every lie you ever
Told yourself
Will all come back to you
One day.

"Thorn In My Side"
Thorn in my side.
You know that’s all you ever were.
A bundle of lies.
You know that’s all that it was worth.
I should have known better
But I trusted you at first.
I should have known better
But I got what I deserved.
To run away from you
Was all that I could do.
To run away from you
Was all that I could do.
Thorn in my side.
You know that’s all you’ll ever be.
So don’t think you know better
’cause that’s what you mean to me.
I was feeling complicated.
I was feeling low.
Now everytime I think of you
I shiver to the bone.

Patty Smyth
GOODBYE TO YOU!
Those times I waited for you seem so long ago
I wanted you far too much to ever let you go
You know you never got by "I feel it too"
And I guess I never could stand to lose
It's such a pity to say
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Could I have loved someone like the one I see in you
I remember the good times baby now, and the bad times too
These last few weeks of holding on
The days are dull, the nights are long
Guess it's better to say
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
'Cause baby it's over now
No need to talk about it
It's not the same
My love for you's just not the same
And my heart, and my heart
And my heart can't stand the strain
And my love, and my love
And my love won't stand the pain
And my heart, and my heart
And my heart can't stand the strain
And my love, and my love
And my love...
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Now, could I have loved someone like the one I see in you
Yeah, I remember the good times baby now, and the bad times too
These last few weeks of holding on
The days are dull, the nights are long
Guess it's better to say
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye to you
Goodbye baby
So long darling
Goodbye to you

Here are a few songs that I think fit! Plus, I always listen to these following songs for soothing my blues. They always, always give me a boost and lift me up. In fact, I'm sure a few of these lyrics have worked their way into my Sig at some point. I know Linda's did! :D
(I've typed just a few lyrics, since I was afraid my post might be too long! Oops! However, the entire lyrics in each of these songs is worth checkin' out! ;))
Your'e No Good~ Linda Ronstadt
Feeling better now that we're through
Feeling better 'cause I'm over you
I learned my lesson, it left a scar
Now I see how you really are
You're no good....
Baby you're no good
Stronger~Britney Spears
Hush, just stop
There’s nothing you can do or say, baby
I’ve had enough
I’m not your property as from today, baby
You might think that I won't make it on my own
But now I’m stronger than yesterday
Now it’s nothing but my way....Here I go, on my own
I don’t need nobody, better off alone....
I'm Alive~ Heather Nova
..You were half charmer half snake
I lived in dreamtime..
But I'm alive
I survived you
And the bitter taste
The years I wasted
All the hate is gone
'Cause I'm alive
I still have visions of you
I still have nights to get through
And when the trust isn't true
I have these visions of you
I'm Still Standing~ Elton John (I typed all of the lyrics on this one!)
You could never know what it's like
Your blood like winter freezes just like ice
And there's a cold lonely light that shines from you
You'll wind up like the wreck you hide behind that mask you use
And did you think this fool could never win
Well look at me, I'm coming back again
I got a taste of love in a simple way
And if you need to know while I'm still standing you just fade away
Don't you know I'm still standing better than I ever did
Looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid
I'm still standing after all this time
Picking up the pieces of my life without you on my mind
Once I never could hope to win
You starting down the road leaving me again
The threats you made were meant to cut me down
And if our love was just a circus you'd be a clown by now

No song suggestions here (well, maybe "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks), but you should include a track with a sound byte from Ace Ventura:

My Give A Damn's Busted by Jo Dee Messina is a huge hit on country radio right now--and it's the perfect song for your CD! Part of the lyrics:
Well you filled up my head
With so many lies
Twisted my heart
'Til something snapped inside
I'd like to give it one more try
But my give a damn's busted
You can crawl back home
Say you were wrong
Stand out in the yard
And cry all night long
Go ahead and water the lawn
My give a damn's busted
(chorus)
I really wanna care
I wanna feel something
Let me dig a little deeper
No, sorry...nothing
You can say you've got issues
You can say you're a victim
It's all your parents fault
After all, you didn't pick them
Maybe somebody else has got time to listen
My give a damn's busted

Damn, missed this thread....didn't realize there was a deadline in it.
Anyway, I'd add one of my absolute favorite Violent Femmes songs, Kiss Off.
I take one one one cause you left me and
Two two two for my family and
3 3 3 for my heartache and
4 4 4 for my headaches and
5 5 5 for my loneliness
6 6 6 for my sorrow and
7 7 for n-n-n-no tomorrow and
8 8 I forget what 8 was for and
9 9 9 for a lost God and
10 10 10 10 for EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING EVERYTHING!!!
I just love yelling the last bit....;)
