Interesting.

Personally, I think this is nothing more than a publicity stunt on the part of Air America because of their....well....ratings, or rather the lack thereof. I read an AP story not long ago that pointed out in NY the ratings on the station they took over, which previously had an "all caribbean" format, went down from a 1.4 to a 1.2, and finished 26th in the market. The same article pointed out that the same thing is taking place pretty much everywhere it's on the radio.

That aside, an understanding I didn't hear the skit itself, was it out of bounds? For decades it has been the law that direct threats to the President are not protected free speech, but I do not know how far it has been challenged in the court system.

I'm not seeing a "direct threat" against the president anywhere here. Rather, I'm seeing satire, which, as far as I know, is protected free speech. The SS may investigate, just to be sure there is no real threat, but my guess is they will take no other action.

Still, probably not a good idea to do what they did, certainly not with this administration in power. As far as it being for publicity, if that is the case, it's not working as no credible news organization is picking the story up yet. And Drudge is certainly not someone I consider credible.

The story finally made it to a different source.

It still kills me, four years later, that one of the biggest pieces of excrement to ever dribble out of a penis is afforded the greatest protection America has to offer. This is one fvcked up country.

And on the SS topic, did you see Dubya's bitch mom get onstage with him in Florida and claim she was worried that a broken Social Security would mean there would be no money available when her grandchildren retired? Yeah, the Bushies really need supplemental income (insert jack-off motion here) -- I guess lying through your teeth is a family trait. What, are the Saudis fixing to cut them off the golden teat or something?
