But don't worry, this time it's for real, and they know where the finger came from.

"I thought it was candy because they put candy in your ice cream ... to make it a treat," Stowers told WWAY. Stowers said he spit the object out, but still couldn't identify it. He went to his kitchen, rinsed it off with water -- and "just started screaming."

ew!
I need to be more careful about opening links in threads that include the words "prepare" and "ill" while eating lunch. Ew.

Lol, SacTown!
I read about this this morning, and I couldn't help but wonder why on earth they didn't look for the damn thing a bit more thoroughly, and throw stuff out when they couldn't find it.
Ewwwwww!!!!!!!!

It appears loosing one's digits is getting rather commonplace in the food service industry. I now wonder how many fingers I already may have injested...
bah, its just finger food.....
sorry, you can beat me now

This is just so darn gross.
I saw the spot on the news; they didn't have time to inform the other employees??? WTF? Ah, hello, seperate fridges? Put it in a bag, mark it, something? Anything?
Part of me {the suspicious part} thinks there is possible monkey business going on here.......
{What a coincidence~ NIN ~ 'Bite The Hand' is blasting now....} :snap:

Well, the story is that it happened pretty quick, the guy was trying to move a bucked of the custard, dropped it, and in his attempt to catch it his hand wandered too close to an automatic mixer, finger gets chopped, lands in the custard. Other employees rush to help him, while the drive-through guy (probably oblivious to what was going on) turns around to serve some custard, and scoops from the top of the nearest bucket, which happens to be fingered. An odd series of events, but plausible. Things get pretty chaotic behind a food service counter, it wouldn't surprise me.

Oy, so the guy who got the finger-custard ain't the sharpest tack.
He refused to give the finger back in time for it to be reattached. Good job, now if he attempts to sue, he's so going to get counter-sued for costing the dude a chance at reattaching his finger.
