I don't watch American Idol, but I'm aware of the scandal going on regarding Paula Abdul and a season two contestant named Corey Clark, alleging an "inappropriate relationship" while he was a contestant on the show.

Not knowing what this guy looked like, I went looking for a pic. Not being able to figure out how to post the pic here, here's a link.

Now....I know some girls like the "bad boy" thing and all, but is there anything attractive about this man? Assuming she did what is alleged, that is.

Juicy celebrity gossip is one thing, but this is just plain sad. One of the only reasons to watch Idol is to see Ms Abdul disintegrate on national television. Did she do it? I'm in the "who cares" camp, but the possibility does add another element to the freak show that is reality tv.

She's dosed out on pain killers all of the time, she probably doesn't even know what she's done. Poor Paula needs to get clean.

I sincerely doubt she slept with Corey Clark. The guy is totally skeevy and is a publicity hound who is out for revenge because they kicked his butt off the show for his criminal activities.

Plus, this guy claims he had a threesome with two female contestants from the show. And he claims personal knowledge about the singers' intimate activities that occurred after he was booted. Uh-huh, riiiight.

As for Paula, she may have slept with someone like Justin Guarini (which is rumored to have happened), but I doubt it.

I do hope that when the season ends, she goes into some kind of pain management program where she can learn to handle her back pain without being doped up on painkillers. She totally destroyed her back through a combination of car accidents and dancing. I like her; she strikes me as a very nice person who genuinely wants to see her "kids" do well.

So, tonight is the Final 5 performances; tomorrow night is the Results show and the ABC "expose" (not that ABC is jealous or attempting to topple the threat that AI poses to ABC's "Lost" in the same timeslot or anything.... ;) )

I wonder what else she might have tried for the pain. There are some mo' betta' remedies for pain management available these days, so I hope she's able to find something. I remember (WAAAAYYY back in the early 90s) when I was a teen, and was sad to see Paula go into decline with the bad marriage to Emilio Estevez & car accidents and what not.

Plus, I don't think Paula would do it with a dude like that when she could probably have her pick of men much better, and if bad boy is her thing, there are a lot of badass people that are at least attractive.. LOL

I'm not judging Paula Abdul, although I do think she needs to be more critical as a judge--and for her to stop interrupting Simon Cowell while he is trying to speak. After seeing Corey Clark's photo in the link above, it immediately made me visualize Sideshow Bob from "The Simpsons." ;)

Well, I just finished watching the slimefest that was Primetime. Who was more slimey? ABC for putting up all that unsubstantied junk or Corey Clark for trashing someone who helped him have a career?

And what normal person would keep all sorts of "evidence" like old receipts? Gah.

I feel dirty.
