Just got off the phone with Disguy and he said that guests at the Disney Hotels woke up to free tix to DL this morning! He was talking to one guest that said they had planned to spend the day at DCA and low and behold tickets to DL had been slipped under their door! What a great surprise to wake up to!

He said the park is wonderfully uncrowded, looks gorgeous and there are hardly any children there!

I had a thought last night that they might do this. Part of me says, "Cool little perk," another part of me says, "Those bastards."

Wouldn't most people staying in a Disney hotel already have purchased park tickets?

The park was to be closed to all but invited guests today.

Ah. You see what back-eastness is good for on these boards.

So, if people were on the "list" and got tickets under the door, wouldn't that allow more people to get in......and.....why didn't anyone call me and save me from the evil dentist? ;)

The park was to be closed to all but invited guests today. And hotel guests :)

Actually, a lot of those guests won their tickets via radio (and other) giveaways.

Is THAT the secret you were worried aobut keeping right before the Tiki meet? Wowie zowie.. I had thought that was water under the bridge. Congrats. I had thought it was something personal, or some board person you were gonna surprise or such. I'm proud of you.

I'm actually grateful (in hindsight) for not having a way to get in on Wednesday. From Monday night's 4 hour stop in the Park for the preview of "The Parade of Stars (ahem) Dreams" and "Remember...Believe in Wishes in the Sky," to Thursday's full day in the Park with festivities, to last night's completely last minute decision to go see the fireworks again (NA, €, CP, GD, BE, TS, weren't you sharing my blanket, too?), to tomorrow's Mother's Day trip, I needed the day off! Geek Week '05!

Get this, my mom's birthday is coming up, and she said, "I'd like to go to Disneyland with you for Mother's Day and my birthday. You always have such interesting things to say." Could have knocked me over! And I thought I was just geeky!

Wouldn't most people staying in a Disney hotel already have purchased park tickets?

yes, most would have. but they were clearly told that Disneyland would be CLOSED to finish the final touches for the 50th but would be able to enjoy their day at DCA. the surprise was not "tickets", rather, it was an invitation to be special guests at the preview. whether they had pre purchased tix or not, they were invited if they were staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel on May 3rd.

they could remain in the park until 5:00pm only. The evening guests were a whole different scenario.

though i wouldn't have been able to fit on the blanket, it would have been a blast to be there again with you geeks. i am still trying to catch up on my sleep.

not much at all this week.

Is THAT the secret you were worried aobut keeping right before the Tiki meet? .

yup. indeed, it was THE secret i tried so hard to keep. wise council advised me that to post something like that here could have seriously jeopardized my position. ( you know who you are;)Thank you! )

imagine the rest of the secrets that are keeping me awake at night!
