My sister and I took my mom out for brunch yesterday at the Warehouse in Marina del Rey. Very fun! Today, I imagine she's at church bragging to all her friends about where her daughters took her for lunch. ;)

Today, I'm at home where my dogs are busy showing how much they love and appreciate me by snoozing....

I love my mom! Happy Momma's Day to all those who care for their kids, whether they be human or furry (or both, depending....)! :D

Happy Mommie's Day everyone!

Mine's been very quiet! I didn't have to get up early, slept til 9:30, had coffee, read my paper. The kids made their own Eggo waffles..and didn't make a huge mess. I took a tiny nap...and then the kids suprised me with gifts...nice gift card to Limited and Crabtree and Evelyn. Hubby gave me a trip to Vegas in July when the kids are at the Grandparents! Whoo hoo!

I'm still in my pj's...hair's up in a pony tail..Kat and I are going to make homemade bread...and we're being very very lazy!

No dinner out for me today...Hubby is working! The price you pay for being married to a resturantier! Mother's Day is THE busiest day of the year industry wide!

Think we can get through the list? Forget about the $300 shot, though- reviews say it's kind of a crappy tasting tequila....

"Happy Friggin' Mother's Day" sounds like it should be followed by something like,

"Here's the new housecoat I bought you!"

or

"Here it is, a brand spankin' new carton of Pall Malls, just for you!"

or

"This year, I splurged and got you the best damn box of wine money can buy!"

:) :D :)

Happy Mom's Day to all the swanky moms out there!

Yesterday we celebrated our birthdays and Mother's Day with both of our families. My younger brothers bought me a card...."To my sister on Mother's Day." ;) It was really funny - inside it said something like "have a fun day", totally noncommittal, but they wrote in something like "and hopefully you'll have lots of babies so this card will make more sense." Totally cracked me up.

What, you be lookin' through our window yesterday? My Mom cracked open the Franzia, (sucking directly from the enclosed wine bag, as the box just slows things down) as I sparked up a Newport and burped out "Happy Mother's day, you friggin' broad!"

Then, the LAPD came (as they do every holiday) and hauled me off screeching & kicking as I winged the celebratory Mother's Day bottles of Mad Dog 20/20 & Night Train at my Mom's head. That'll teach her to stay at of the bathroom while I'm trying to mix meth in the tub. It's not like I didn't bring my own 800 boxes of Sudafed & Tylenol Flu & Cold. At least she posted bail in time for me to make the 11:00 shift at Bob's Classy Lady. No holding tank can keep this girl away from the pole that long.

Okay, my Mom, who is actually a proud member of the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept., would die if she saw this post. (Die laughing!) :D

Happy Mother's Day, Mom!! :coffee: I love you oodles & poodles! Thank you for tolerating all of my drama! And Lordy, isn't there always a ton? ;)

Happy Mother's Day to all you Mom's! :)

We had the Portlandest Mother's Day possible!! :snap: (Okay, NO we didn't to a labor rally, or protest outside a restaurant that serves fois gras.....)

We had brunch at Jake's www.jakesgrill.com (http://www.jakesgrill.com) (mmmm....their seafood buffet is to die for!!) inside the Governor Hotel, then walked to Powell's Books www.powellsbooks.com (http://www.powellsbooks.com) , went shopping in the Pearl District and at Buffalo Exchange www.buffaloexchange.com (http://www.buffaloexchange.com) , watched The Princess Bride at a McMenamins, while sipping beers.

Heehee, I got Chuck Palahniuk's newest book, Haunted.....what every good mommy wants!! I'm going to a reading by him next week......can't wait!!!

Kelly finally gave me my official present....our Broadway Series subscription, so we have six shows to go to starting with The Lion King in September. I'm a spoiled mommy!! Broadway and Palahniuk!!!

I love Powells!!! I went there mainly to see the rare books section, and it was closed. I talked a clerk into opening it for me, and got a close up tour of all it's treasures. (Like a first edition Dafoe). I felt I should buy something, so I picked up an autographed copy of 'Son of Oscar Wilde', by Vivyan Holland. :snap::coffee::snap:
