... imitates stupidity.

The force was not strong in them. (http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2005230662,00.html#dumbass)

Egads! *cringe* *cringe* Just thinking about the exploding sabers pains me. I'm sure they more than realize their stupidity now. How awful!

You know, geeky is one thing. But, dumb is unforgivable.

Erica, your heading and post made me LOL.

But the story made me cringe. Owie. Stupid kids, but I do feel badly for them.

Stop imitating art, jerkoffs, and live your own damn lives.

Or, at the very least, buy toy lightsabers! They're cool enough!

I just spit out my coffee! I can imagine how the day-glo green of the dish soap would seem like a good idea...but the fuel...and the fire...and the GLASS tubes???? OMG! I notice the article did not specify if the kids were under the influence (and not just the influence of the Dark Side either!)

Top o' the Darwin list candidates. They were idiots for doing this, but crap! How horrific. I wonder if the third person has come forward yet.

But where's the link to the "jackass internet site?" Damn it, this thing was filmed - we must see it in all it's horrific glory!

Actually, I don't think there was a third person. They thought someone was operating the camera but I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't true. The "Star Wars Kid" just ran the camera and did his stuff...

Where would you even conceive of the idea to put petrol and soap in a light tube and light it on fire? The stupidity in coming up with that idea is beyond my comprehension.

heh heh - kind of reminds me when we decided to see if we could make gun powder after watching that Star Trek episode. Coffee can, dorm hallway, and a match - dang that was quite an impressive pilar of fire - and amazing we were able to kick it out the back door before the fire department came. What fire?

I love how, slowly but surely, all of the stupid € tricks are being revealed on this board. ;)

Ya know - this may all be very stupid, but I confess, it still sounds kinda cool to me.

Hmmm, well, now that we know how to NOT make lightsabers, surely we can come up with a much better design! Because it was kind of a cool idea in theory, just not so much in the execution...

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall, watching the kids come up with this idea. I'm still thinking "under the influence", though. There's just that key piece of knowledge that is lost that can only be attributed to   (We need pint glass icons for this one!)

The things burst into flames! How can you make them cooler than that?

Perhaps some radioactive magma? That would be cool.

Thanks, thanks a lot! Although I am familiar with the term smegma, I felt a burning desire to Google it. I just looked at some pictures...It's a little too early for smegma. :p

And a quote for the day:

And they say, 'Well, you'll have cheese [if you're not
circumcised].' I like it! It's my cheese! Give it to me!"

I don't know, the scorching flesh part might be considered by some to be a design flaw...not to mention the projectile glass shards...

I'll hold the camera, but I'm not going to duel with you. ;)

Where would you even conceive of the idea to put petrol and soap in a light tube and light it on fire? The stupidity in coming up with that idea is beyond my comprehension. It's a guy thing. Our stupidity gene is quite prevalent - especially in our teens. The problem increases exponentially as other stupid males gather.

As I just posted (http://www.xenarchy.com/LoT/showthread.php?p=28432#post28432) in the "Confessional" thread: GusGus wonders how I am alive today.
