I'm leaving for Japan tomorrow and I'm jealous about you going to Ireland. Nice!

Yes. Take me with you and I will show you.

I hate to be so general, but most every time I've been to Dublin, I just follow the music.
That is a town that truly loves to have a good time. Just make your way to Temple Bar and let your senses carry you to where you belong.

Have a blast!

You'll be in Dublin. The whole town is about eating, drinking, and being merry. And jaywalking.

If I were going, I'd follow mousepod's suggestion.

Can I come?

Yeah, mousepod is most definetely going to be right on that one, though I've never been. On tramspotter's trip to Ireland with his family, they stumbled upon jam sessions, ate, drank, and were merry.

Have fun! When are you going?

You should try to catch some movies while you are there.

I've gotten a recommendation to check out the Temple Bar area. I'll definitely be hoisting a pint or two there I think.

I'm not looking forward to the overnight flight, but I am looking forward to 2 straight nights of awesome rock shows. Can't wait!

Steph~ How fun! Have a wonderful time. http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/images/smilies/smile_lot.gif What shows are you going to see?

Regarding the flight; have you ever tried Ambien? It's a mild sleeping pill with no grogginess. When I flew to London (from CA.), I didn't sleep a wink. I think I was the only person awake on the plane beside the pilots. The flight crew even went to sleep. Anyway, after that I went to the Dr. and asked for something to help me sleep on planes. He prescribed the Ambien. It works like a charm, I've taken it on my last two long flights. I only need to take half of a tablet and I'm out.

I should check out that ambien stuff. I'm the girl who flew from LAX to Zurich wide awake. I don't know why, but it just seemed like the sun was up the whole way, and even when it was quiet, I just couldn't bring myself to sleep. (Yes, all the windows were shut down for a good portion of the flight)

ambien... hmm thanks!

Thanks for the tip. I've heard of Ambien. I was going to try something like Tylenol PM or somesuch, but maybe I'll ask my doctor. :)

I'm going to see a certain band that is Irish... hmmm I wonder who that could be? :whistles:

I have some good stories. Maybe I'll type them up tonight. It was quite amazing to see U2 in their hometown with 80k people. You don't realize how many people that is until you're all heading in the same direction.

Argh! I always meant to post my recs on this thread and never got round to it:(

Hope you had a wonderful time - I spent nearly a week in Dublin in 2002 and loved it - it's such a cool city. Did you get to the Guinness Factory? The Jamiesons Distillery? We did both tours, one after the other - good times:cheers:

Heh - isn't that Disneyland's capacity? That's a lot of people to hang with.
