...and moving my computer. But I LOVE having a desk. (If NA were here, this is where she'd say "well it's about time." I moved almost 2 years ago and my computer's been on the floor the whole time.)
And this is where I'd post a picture of my new desk with my old computer on it if I had the equipment to do that. But I don't. So here's the pictures from Target:

As HTHBellcaptain said yesterday, "now your place is almost furnished!"
I replied, "yes, sortof, but don't you dare look in my closet."
I love Target furniture.

Very nice! http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/images/smilies/smile_lot.gif Did you take advantage of the 10% off and free shipping?
The great thing about Target furniture is that its guaranteed for the life of a gastrotrich.

So, I looked up gastrotrich, and while it was interesting and somewhat informative, it did not indicate the average life-span.

Q: Which animal has longest and which the shortest life span?
A: The Giant Tortoise lives the longest, about 177 years in captivity, and the gastrotrich (a minute aquatic animal) lives the shortest--as short as a three days
We dads just know these things. Tallest, fastest, biggest, oldest, you need to know? We got it coverd.
Ps: Interesting enough, among primates the bigger your brain, the longer you live. So based on that, I'd say we'll all be hanging around the LoT for a very long time.

I got it in the reddish finish (the first one). At my Target there wasn't a choice.
I didn't order online. I've only ordered from target.com once, and things went poorly. I ordered margarita glasses (they were a gift) and they sent me a garlic press.

Mmmm . . .
Tragically, the garlic press was returned (I just chop garlic anyways, who needs a press? Those things never work). The margarita glasses came. Twice.
They also sent me target.com magnetic poetry. And no, I have never written a refrigerator poem about target.com. (They didn't send the right words--I'd need "incompetent" or "stupid" or "garlic" or some such words that were not included in the cheesy little set.)

We actually own the same table, just not with the top piece and in a much darker shade. :) It works well in our place.
I have a couple of pieces of furniture from Target. They are holding up much better than the disposable IKEA stuff we have purchased. IKEA looks great until you have to move it, then... not so great.
