I finally have a trip report up for Day One of my WDW trip.
If you laugh at my clunky, outdated HTML I will make sure you're never pass a senate confirmation hearing.
Should be a Word doc with my report and a link to the photos. Yes, it's an online sharing site. I don't have gobs of bandwidth.

I finally got around to reading this. Sounds like you had a great time the first day - but recognizing that "I need sleep" or "I need food" stage is crucial to enjoyment of your traveling companion, isn't it!
One maybe correction, though. I'm pretty sure (I looked at my map in my photo album) that the Haunted Mansion is just the Haunted Mansion - Phantom Manor is in France.
Oh, and I loved this paragraph enough that I have to quote it here:It was still in the first hour or so of park opening, and we headed for the ferry. It was really odd for us to be taking a ferry to what we still mentally pictured as Disneyland. It was like one of those dreams where you’re dreaming about places and people you know, only they’re totally different than they are in real life. Like the time I dreamt that there was a whole additional section of my condo that had another piano and a practice dance floor area with (ballet) bar and so forth and it was totally reasonable in the dream.

I had the exact same "kinda let down" when we got to MK for the first time! It was like...."OH...the turnstiles, then under the train, the Main Street!"
ACHHHKKKKK! Wrong! Get on a boat or Monorail! This sucks!
Great trip report!

I LOVE the boat and the monorails!
I HATE that it's such a pain to get into the MK.

Great TR and wonderful photos! It makes me want to go to WDW again - especially to stay at the AKL. One of my favorite evenings on my last trip was sitting on a public balcony in rocking chairs on the second floor watching a storm blow through. Fabulous lightening view from there and VERY relazing - especially after a fine dinner at Boma. I'd go back just for that!

Not Afraid!!! My sister and I have been sending you PM's for over a month now about next Saturday and have not heard anything back. Can you let us know if you will be there or not?

I don't know what's going on around here. I got an e-mail saying I had a PM from you. I tried clicking on the link but nothing would open. So I came here and checked PM's and there aren't any. I tried going to Mice Chat but it seems to be gone. I keep getting an error message saying "the Data Bank is blank" and it won't open anything. I deleted the e-mail becuase I thought I could just come to either of these boards and go directly to the PM part and read it, but it's not here and Mice Chat won't load. Can you send me an e-mail? bruceroberts@earthlink.net please. Nothing seems to be working right for me tonight.

Bruce, I got a notice that I have a PM from you at MC. It is down again so I will read them when the site returns.
We now return you to your regular scheduled discussion. ;)

Great trip report!
OK kiddies... I'm going to be going to WDW next August ('06) to celebrate a big(?) birthday. Trying to con encourage as many friends and family as are interested to come. Anyone game?

August? Are you insane?!
I've got the pictures sorted and captioned for day 2 and now I just have to do the report. Stay tuned for day 2 -- in which Prudence visits EPCOT.

August? Are you insane?!
Well I might be insane, but that's beside the point.
Very late August - early September (we're looking at at least 9 days). We considered doing it on our usual time - either early December or early January - because H & I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary then, but we figured that the only way we could get my Mom & Dad (and Heather's family) to come down would be if it was for my (gulp) 40th.
You know you want to go.
Looking forward to the rest of your pics.

WOW! So snazzy AND fashionable! All I need are pants! And shoes. And a hat. And John Travolta as The Boy in the Plastic Bubble.

My poor northern body can't handle Florida in August. Plus I'll have already started fall semester by then. However, we are planning to go again next May...

Aww, missing Moonliner at DL would suck. :(
Aww, I thank you for your kind thoughts. However since we are talking over a year out at this point, my DLR trip is probably better classified as a "hope" rather than a "got my tickets booked" type of thing. So by all means don't hold back any plans on my account.

I'd love to go to WDW again, but how about we move your B-day to October and celebrate it in Paris?
