Ohh Geeze, let me go check my rag bag. I'm sure I have at least a dozen of those shirts in there...

PLEASE don't tell me that CHiPS, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, or Solid Gold are coming back. Some things just need to stay burried in the past.

I love love love all the 80's t's. Rathergood.com (http://www.rathergood.com/) has some funny shirts (http://www.cafepress.com/rathergood). I bought a friend the Viking "Fear Me" kitty. Another friend has the Soldier kitty t-shirt.

Cool site, MP! I love the Threadless t's (http://www.threadless.com/?streetteam=gominosensei) we were looking at earlier. Tres cool.

I'm cracking up over the Vandals shirts. If I saw a 19 year old wearing one of these - or a Pistols shirt for that matter - I wouldn't be able to stop laughing. Of course, the sad thing is I DO see that on occasion.

I'm still confused by the "NIVARNA" (spelled that way) shirts we saw in Japan. Maybe I'm old and out of touch - this one totally eluded me.

If you have lots of money to spare, you can get a t-shirt made of milk. (http://www.piscottacashmere.com/milk_7.jpg)

MacGyver! Oh, how I hearted him to pieces. LMFAO.

I want to live in jeans and t-shirts lately. But t-shirts that FIT good. Too many billow out at my stomach because of my rack and it's unflattering. Yet if I go too tight, the back fat that squeezes out of my bras....oh, getting old! I hates it!

One of my favorites is still:

I still haven't bought it, though.

Of course, the sad thing is I DO see that on occasion.Would that be anything like a teen wearing a Beatles shirt, or a Zeppelin shirt, or a Dylan shirt, or a Hendrix shirt, or a Marley shirt......which they have been doing for ages?

If I saw a 14 year old today wearing a Pearl Jam "Ten" shirt (I was 14 when that album rocked my world), I wouldn't laugh, I'd say "hell yeah!"

And I'm with TT on Ferris. Awesome, awesome movie.

Oh, I'd laugh. I do laugh. I laughed at three kids waiting for the Monorail each wearing Pink Floyd, Sex Pistols, and Led Zeppelin shirts. But, I laugh to myself.

I know it was meant in humour, but NONE of those shirts is up my alley. In fact, those shirts make me wanna hurl.

(And I am sure that I am not the only one who expected to see some sort of "adult" content. Hee hee)

Ferris Bueller's Day Off never went away. (At least not with me.)I am 100% with you on this!!!

I know CoasterMatt owns some of them...

Last week I saw a latin couple - he wearing Che, she wearing Frida, I thought that was pretty cool. I rarely ever wear the T-shirts I buy, no matter how cool. I saw lots of wierd shirts in Japan I wish I could wear, but even if I could, I probably would leave them in my closet.

Ah.. T-shirt Hell, I love 'em too! I have a few of them, and have worn only 1 in public, and only on a specific day, in a specific part of town, and only for just a few hours, and with a emergency jacket, just in case.

Humm, guess I'm 0 for two in the humor column this week. Better get myself back to shop for a tune up. :(

Nothing is worse than a joke that needs to be explained, but it looks like that's where I am... I was certainly NOT insinuating that you would like, wear or condone the "worse than hell" shirts. While you have a ribald sense of humor (at least here on the boards) my perception of you is definitely not one of a raciest by any means. Linking to the "worse than hell" page was a poor attempt on my part to goad you with something I knew you would find over the top, but alas I went too far. I probably should have read ALL the shirts on that page...

Perhaps I would have done better to link the main (http://www.tshirthell.com/hell.shtml) page which has more blue humor rather than the more outragous "worse than hell" page?

As for the whole "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" thing.

When it came out in '86 I was working full time while also carrying a full university class load. For one of my very few nights out that YEAR a friend took me to see FBDO. As portrayed in the movie Bueller's care-free "all about me" attitude, just made me sick. The disrespect he showed to his "friends" and family was, for me, not the least bit entertaining. In an era where I was up to my ears in responsibility and working my ass off for a better tomorrow the entire tone of this movie just sent me over the top. It's the last, hell it's the only, movie I ever walked out of.

Your mileage may vary, but I just wanted to explain my point of view on this movie..

I assumed you just had a general dislike for it. (Like me with Pokémon. I don't have anything against it, I just never cared for it and hope it never comes back. Ever.)

Its gone? Wait, if its gone, then what exactly is it I sit in a room watching all those people do every Sunday for five hours?
They look like Pokemon cards to me. And then, Saturday...this saturday... I have ten hours of some thing that sounded like Pokemon regionals....
Hmm.. Pokemon is out?
Wow .. some mother I am... I wonder what all those people really are doing? serves me right for sitting there reading a book.

This one (http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c181846p16439146.2.html) totally rocks. I had one of those switches for YEARS, so we could play Atari 2600.

Hmm, maybe I should start a real list of shirts that I want. A humongous list.

ThinkGeek rocks.

Then there's always these (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/showthread.php?t=1065).

If I could wear t-shirts to work, I'd own a ton.

I own a whole drawer full of T-shirts. Didn't buy a single one of 'em. All are "thank you for donating your time" T-shirts (lately most are from the MS Society - I do sound for the Walk in April and Bike Ride in October every year).

And somewhere I got a sh!tload of concert T-shirts from the 80's: Journey, Styx, Van Halen, Billy Squier, Oingo Boingo, etc. Probably should sell them on eBay and cash in.

Not real exciting, but I wanted to participate in this thread in some way besides making Moonliner feel bad (sorry Moonliner - I took things a little too seriously!)

Thanks for the link! My sons are going to love you! They don't know you but they don't know you. :p

My closet is now becoming more full of t-shirts than regular blouses.

Mostly concert shirts but I have others, too.

Oh, CP, I have a Pearl Jam one from thier '98 tour. It has their little stick figure in a yield shaped sign. It says "Pearl F'ing Jam" but it is spelled out. I love it but it is a size large....

Don't be too jealous. When I had the opportunity to see PJ I was pregnant. Didn't get to go. {I was on bed rest, low activity}.

I picked up the shirt at the swapmeet, along with a Soundgarden one and a Cure one for my chickie.

I also found a Depeche Mode shirt that was totally cool. Fifty f'ing cents.

I think this is the only time in my life that I have ever gotten an autograph.

Naturally, Danny's was the hardest to get.

That Boingo shirt sounds awesome! I remember back as a lassie, my cousins wanting to sneak me in to see them at the Whiskey A GoGo {is that the correct name?} and I was such a good girlie I said 'Ooo, no!!!' I remember them saying they were awesome.

Anywho, I only recently started to collect t-shirts. I used to not buy concert t's but I have seemingly become addicted.

To shows I've been~ Audioslave, Queens of the Stone Age, Pinback, Thornley, Maroon 5, Los Lonely Boys. I missed getting a Green Day one.

Funny, most of these are black....Hmmm....

To resurrect this thread~

I saw some cool shirts at Target in the Juniors department. A Beatles shirt, Tinkerbell. But, the one that had me laughing so hard I had to shove popcorn in my mouth...

All it said on it was 'I've Already Forgotten Your Name'.

Now, I know that is supposed to be a catty, flippant comment BUT hey, I really do forget names in a snap! It took me a YEAR to get my best friends 4 kids names...and one was a girl!!!

What do you think, would this shirt be in bad taste for someone who really means it? :D
