Today is the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror's 11 anniversary. It originally opened on July 22, 1994 at the Disney-MGM Studios. The bellhop party is at my place tonight. Honarary bellhop, Matterhop Fan, will be there as well.
Happy Birthday, Hollywood Tower Hotel.

Happy 11th HTH!
I think you should have Lemon Drops as the cocktail for the occasion.

Happy birthday Tower! Though our relationship has been one filled with ups and downs, I'm glad it all worked out in the end.
Will there be a special celebration in 2 years for the 13th birthday? If so, I might have to come down to celebrate... :gnome:

Lol- am I dense, or what? I just now figured out HTHBellcaptains 'name'. (I just call the ride ToT, so I wasn't familiar with the HTH thing). I thought it was some sort of nautically influenced name.
And just where the hell have you been, Mister?;)

I DID call. It must've been some rockin' TOT party, because no one answered. I was gonna hit the cell phones of the three people I thought would be there, but I gave up.
But, I TRIED! ;)

I wasn't there, alas. And why? I was hosting the 2005 Florida Landscape Architects Awards presentation in Downtown Orlando. (Hey, it's a gig.) I sang, told jokes and handed out awards in 90 degree plus heat for 90 minutes. But, the audience loved my rendition of The Landscape Architect From Ipanema.
Happy Birthday y'old Tower you.
Happy 11th HTH! You are a true Disney E ride. And while that can not be said about your little brother in California, I will always look back fondly to my days in Florida.

You were right the first time. It is a nautically influenced name. The HTH stands for Herburt Tinklethon Hiickupman. He was one of the truly great bellhops in England's Royal Navy. I try to pattern my life after him. :D
Not Afraid did call last night, but it was very loud in my house last night, so we didn't hear the phone ring. It was a very successful party.

A couple people (including me) heard the phone ring. Had I been able to get to it in time, I might've recognized NA's number on the call ID and answered (generally, tho, I don't make a habit of answering other people's phones). But, alas, I was too drunk to get that far that fast.
It was a very successful party.

Nah, I think I'll keep them. They match my apartment, and your place looks better with more light.
