A few people have asked when my band is playing locally. We do a lot of private functions but every once in a while we actually play somewhere that people can come see us at. This is one of those gigs so I thought I would post the info for anyone who might be interested.
Our band is "The Echo Trio" and we play a strange mix of jazz standards, hawaiian music, and some classic rock and roll. The place is an Italian Restaurant in Lake Forest. We will be in the bar area. My understanding is that the place is casual dress, moderately priced and there isn't a cover. (If I hear anything to the contrary about a cover charge, I will post it).
For anyone that is interested, we would love to see you there!

Thank you for the info. I am putting the date on my calendar and plan to be there. It will be great to finally hear some of your music--and visit a new Italian restaurant, too.
By the way, MBC, your avatar looks exactly like the "cool" smilie!

Oh! Tom and I will do our best to be there! He's planning to rearrange his weekly schedule to Sunday-Thursday nights, so if he can get that put through this week, we'll come together to support you! If not, I will try to get down there on my own, but I have to take care of some car stuff before I do. I'll do my best to be in the audience!

ACK! That's the night we're going to see SEVO. I thought there was something I had blocked from my memory.
I'm so sorry we won't be there! :(

No worries, Lisa! If the club owner is happy with us, we'll probably be back. That's the plan anyway. We're looking for a cozy little place (with good food) that will have us as the house band so our friends have a place to come see us more often. I'll keep you posted. :)
Besides, I hear Sevo is a really good band. ;)
Heidi and Daniel, I hope you can make it!

I'm gonna do my best to make it also! I know the 405 from VC is real tough, so it won't be 100%. Any Chicago song in your rep? ;)

Any Chicago song in your rep? ;)
Not as of yet but you'll of course be the first to know if we add one. :)
Hope to see you there!

I'd totally be there if, ya know, I wasn't 2000 miles to the north. Be sure to let those of us who can't make it down know how it goes and whether or not you score a regular gig. Good luck!

Since I was already looking up the address on Yahoo! Maps, I thought I would post the LINK (http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?name=&addr=22741+Lambert+St&state=CA&csz=Lake+Forest%2C+CA+92630-1617&ds=n&uzip=92630&mag=2&desc=&country=US&dma=803&cat=fin&resize=l&trf=0&lat=33.632774&lon=-117.713453&mlt=33.632774&mln=-117.713453&rezoom=0&.intl=us&addrtype=12&compass=&i_ov=1&appid=&pan_x=0&pan_y=0&panable=1) to a map for anyone else who is planning to attend.

Awesome gig!!!! :D
Why, thank you! :) I didn't recall any pictures being taken, which is surprising, considering that DisneyDaniel was there. :D
Thanks to everyone that made it! :) It was a lot of fun to play for you. I'll be sure to post when we have something similar lined up in the future.

Yes, The Echo Trio is a great band and they performed a variety of music. On some of the blues/rock songs, Motorboat Cruiser was definitely jammin' and groovin' on the keyboard! :snap:
Another testament to the band's talent occured at some point in the evening when a guy stepped on stage and the band played several songs with this person singing. The entire time, most of us in the audience thought this guy was with the band. Afterward, we found out from MBC that the "fourth guy" of the Trio was a stranger--just someone who showed up and volunteered himself to join the band for a few songs!
No, I did not take any photos and did not bring any cameras with me; it was a "night off" to simply enjoy an evening of good company, delicious food, and great music. Plus, I was heading to Six Flags Magic Mountain the next day--cameras on rollercoasters usually don't go well together. ;)

No pictures. And now that I think about it, I could have put my new camera phone to use and recorded a few video bits. D'oh! :( That's what I get for letting my mind go to waste on a couple drinks. ;)
But, next time, I'm definitely bringing my camera.
The band was incredible, especially with MBC totally grooving out on the boards. Even the temporarily-adopted "lead singer" seemed to fit in quite well, and acted like a rock star - pointing the microphone out into the crowd and all. I'm *still* singing "Mustang Sally"!!! :D You know you've got a great group of musicians when someone can just get up and sing with 'em and look like a pro. :snap:

Thanks again for the kind words. :)
Our guest was originally supposed to only do one song with us. He was having so much fun that he just kinda stuck around. It's a little annoying when that happens but as long as everyone has a good time, I suppose that's all that matters. He did sound very good on the harmonica. :)

I wish I could've gone! I just didn't have the time or energy to fight the traffic.
How about a more detailed review!!!???
