Madeleine Peyroux (http://www.madeleinepeyroux.com/index.php?id=tours.php) is touring, and will be in San Francisco on Friday, September 16th, and in Monterrey on Sunday, the 18th. On a more local note, September 20th, she'll be in Santa Barbara. I really can't do that date, and the Monterrey one will be tough but Boy Oh Boy am I looking long and hard about heading up to San Francisco.... /sigh

I can't find tickets on Ticketmaster, but she's playing at Masonic Auditorium.

LOL, mousepod...

I am not sure. I like a nice drive, so perhaps, but also perhaps flying would be easier.

Depends on my time schedule. I wouldn't be able to leave until Friday early afternoon, so likely to fly up. I don't even know if I'll be able to afford it with all this money going out of my ass at the moment.... Just wishing and hoping at this point. And hoping I can figure out how much the tix are going to be.

Any knowledge of where else I can look for that venue, mousepod?

Yeah, with a trip to Paris a scant month after, I'm not sure it's in the budget for us either. :( I'd so love to go, though. I have too many friends in the bay area to have not been to SF (other than the overnight business trip) in over a decade.

Blueerica,

You can get tickets at tickets.com: http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?agency=SF_JAZZ&pid=5548668

I've seen some SFJazz shows there (Caetano Veloso, Joao Gilberto) and the hall is terrific. Keep me posted on your plans - if there's anything H & I can do to make your visit easier, let us know.

Oooh -- I love the way you make it sound like it's already happening. Such forward thinking! :excited:

I think you mean Monterey (http://www.monterey.org/), not Monterrey (http://www.monterrey.gob.mx/). :)

All you needed to say was "Madeline" and I'd be on it. It could be in Barstow and I'd want to go.

I am so bummed - Jet Blue has some cheap flights, but I will be elsewhere in the Country.

The 16th is a Friday, isn't it? No dice then, even if we could budget it. I'm short on time off as it is, no way I could get a flight after work and make it in time for the show. Bummer.

I so wish I could go with you. Monterey is without a doubt one of my favorite towns. I especially love the aquarium there.

I might be able to go, but I fear if I went and got drunk or high I'd tell Tramspotter bogus stories about us.

LMAO Zap!

I don't even know if I'll be able to make it happen financially. Things are tight right now... But it's not like she tours... ever... So.... I might have to find a way to make this work.
