I made it! All that worrying and I find out they've been trying to contact me all weekend but had the wrong phone number.

I did it! I'll never have free time again, but I did it!

Thanks, cats and kittens! I really appreciate the congrats from the swankiest bunch around.

I had been trying to console myself that not making it was okay and that really, I didn't want it anyway.

I am a big liar. I wanted it so damn badly it hurt. Seriously. I had taken to limiting myself to checking my school email no more than every half-hour, because the desperate clinging to hope was becoming rather, well, desperate. And then I'd finally given up hope, because surely they would have notified me before the start of classes (which is today). All to find that they were indeed calling my work number all weekend.

If I wasn't such a Lady, I'd look up the email for that associate dean at the UW law school who, when I was applying for a job there, laughed at me and said there was no way anyone could succeed in law school and work full time. But no, I'm too Klassy for that.

Oh my heck! They just sent me my class rank. They took the top 15 for law review and I was #15. That was entirely too close for comfort! I'm all sick to my stomach now, which is pretty stupid considering it's after the fact. On to year 2!

Besides, as if #16 wouldn't have been something to be proud about? :snap:

16 was the ONE place I didn't want to be! Okay, #323 (bottom) would have sucked, too. But for me, it would have been torture to know that I missed LR by one spot.

Sorry -- I'm having a little ego-centric moment here. As soon as I get a real feel for what the workload is I'll get right over that ego, I assure you.

You work full time and attend law school, and still rank in the top 15 in the class?

You need to get a hold of that Dean when you finish. The only person not showing any class was that particular individual, and they need to know that great things can be accomplished- when the right person is doing them.:snap:
