Forum thread with details about what happened:

Seems a bit extreme to me, what, is partying illegal now?
Is there no better way this could have been handled?
I think it is insane.
What's next?

I don't know, but I think they should close the borders.

Well, this was Utah. That stopped me from wondering what happened right away. Not that it was right.

One post in the utraves thread says that the location was a regular party location...that had been regularaly busted in this manner. The OP of the thread even seems to hint that the promoter and the government weren't exactly in agreement about the party going on in the first place.

Me thinks there's more to this story than meets the eye.

So did they catch Osama there? or did he slip through the cracks again?

There is almost always more then meets the eye, but I am wary of believing the police account of the operation(which I think is pretty sad), just as much as I am wary to believing the accounts of the partygoers and promoters.

But, after sifting through some of it, it seems that the promoter had all the proper permits for this party, or at least believed he did, at least had the ones that the govt officials said he needed<tin foil hat>(they coulda lied to him and left one out)</tin foil hat>, from some of the accounts, the police ripped the permit from his hand when he protested to them and showed them he had the proper paperwork filed. Not sure exactly what happened, but even if not 100% legal, this seems a bit to extreme of a way to break up a party. Extremism is extremism, be it islamic, or police methodology(sp?).

Oh, and no word on if Osama was found there, or if he was allowed to escape again.

Do you Remember (Maybe I'm Getting old) back before the fall of the USSR, we were told there was a possible communist spy around every corner? If you go through our History, there was ALWAYS SOMEONE Out to get you, your family, your job, your "Way of life" etc... All the way to Witches and even before.

Be VERY Careful. YOU may be next who we are told to fear, hate, and try to run off.

It was way more fun with witches. Don't you know that witches have late night sex-filled romps? With a giant black cat that descends a rope backwards so that they can kiss his ass? And then they take the off-spring of those unholy unions and cremate them and bake tasty baby cakes from the ashes? Hoo-weee doggie! Those were some good times!
