Has anyone else run across the Flying Spaghetti Monster (http://www.venganza.org/) in their quest to learn the secrets of the universe?
Personally, I was pleased to hear that a simple increase in pirates could lead to a decrease in global warming.
Perhaps some day I, too, will be touched by His Noodly Appendage.

I like the line in his resume: "I take things apart compulsively"

I've been hearing about the FSM in my household for about a month. Apparently, the avowed atheist in my life has seen the marinara light...

Okay, the tee-shirt OR mug (there's somethin' for everyone!) that has the drawing of "Him (of Flying Spaghetti Monster fame), Trees, Mountain & Midget (I also dig that midget has been misspelled)" has me DYING. The caption "I Want To Believe"..I just need this mug. I also need to dole them out for the Holidays. It's pleading to be a stocking stuffer!
One thing I can't get on board with is the little window to the right (as you scroll down) that proudly declares, "Vegas Sucks!"
Vegas rocks. That's a fact. It's my Disneyland away from..Disneyland. :) ;)

The Amazing (James) Randi has a weekly column on his site. In a past column (http://www.randi.org/jr/042905some.html#2), he wroteHere are two stickers that could be placed into school biology text books. The green one was already created to be used in Georgia, the blue one is my invention. I'd say that if the green one is used, it should be accompanied by the other....

Yeah yeah... a two year old thread...
Religious scholars mull Flying Spaghetti Monster (http://www.cnn.com/2007/LIVING/personal/11/16/flying.spaghettimonster.ap/index.html)
(AP) -- When some of the world's leading religious scholars gather in San Diego this weekend, pasta will be on the intellectual menu. They'll be talking about a satirical pseudo-deity called the Flying Spaghetti Monster, whose growing pop culture fame gets laughs but also raises serious questions about the essence of religion.
The appearance of the Flying Spaghetti Monster on the agenda of the American Academy of Religion's annual meeting gives a kind of scholarly imprimatur to a phenomenon that first emerged in 2005, during the debate in Kansas over whether intelligent design should be taught in public school sciences classes........................................

I adore the idea that there might now be an official tract on church response to FSM. :D

The FSM use to visit our home about once a week when my kids were very small.......
His mess ended up on the walls, the floor, the windows, even the ceiling.
