Having been to DL only once this year, and not at all since the 50th started, not to mention not reading any DL boards, I'm fairly clueless as to what's going on at the park. Here's what I'm wondering:

Fireworks...worth it?

Parade...(we'll probably do this anyways because Indi will love it, but..) worth it?

What's the thing that replaced Lincoln all about? Is it any good?

How about Turtle Talk with Crush? Where exactly in the backlot is it?

How's the weather this weekend? Does 80 feel hot there, because that sounds like winter to me.

3 more days!!!! I can't wait!

Fireworks...worth it?

Oh YEAH! They are amazing and well worth it.

Parade...(we'll probably do this anyways because Indi will love it, but..) worth it?

Eh, it is good to see once - and Indy WILL love it.

I found both the exhibit and film to be wonderful. Not sure if Indy will be amused. Maybe so.

It is in the Animation Building. Haven't seen it yet.

Well, if 84 sounds like winter, bring a sweater. I'll be at the Grand Call where it is cool. ;)

Fireworks...worth it?
Yes! Remember...Dreams Come True could be the best Disneyland fireworks ever! When you see it for the first time, you have to see it from the Hub to get the full experience, but that's where most people will be watching it, too.

Parade...worth it?
Since you haven't been to Disneyland for a while, then "yes." Some of the floats are large and very detailed. Overall, Parade of Dreams is better than the previous one.

What's the thing that replaced Lincoln all about?
Disneyland: The First 50 Magical Years Exhibit & Film is worth a visit. The most impressive item among the artwork, models and designs is a large model of how Disneyland looked in 1955. Also, the exhibit recently added a model of the inside of Space Mountain--here's your chance to see the track layout. Additionally, there is a display of old ticket books and entrance tickets that's cool to see.

How about Turtle Talk with Crush?
Yes! Very funny and amusing. After you enter the Animation Building inside Disney's California Adventure's Hollywood Pictures Backlot, it's the room to the right. The technology used to make Crush talk and interact with the audience is amazing. It's clever and humorous for both adults and kids. Each show is slightly different based on the audience members: What they ask Crush, how he responds, or who he notices in the audience.

While you're already in Disney's California Adventure, you may want to check out the Block Party Bash parade. The performers are very energetic, and the best part is seeing so many characters from the Pixar films: "Toy Story," "Monsters, Inc.," "A Bug's Life," and "The Incredibles."

What they said.

I'd love to meet up with you but I really don't know if I could handle the Labor Day weekend crowds :( plus I have party obligations...hope you have a blast!

I think NA & DD covered it pretty well.

I'm bummed though cuz I would like to see you. However, I will be in San Diego all weekend. Have a great time!

Thanks for all the posts! I would really have loved to have met up with people too, but this was kind of a last minute thing and my mother in law came, so a meet wouldn't really have worked. I'll answer all my own questions now.

Fireworks...worth it?
They were great! I saw them impromptu style from a partially obstructed view, but the soundtrack alone was fabulous.

Parade...(we'll probably do this anyways because Indi will love it, but..) worth it?

Again, impromptu style, but still really good! Would have liked to have seen the whole thing, but there just wasn't enough time.

Sadly, we didn't get to see this. Guess we'll have to come back during the 50th!

How about Turtle Talk with Crush? Where exactly in the backlot is it?
It was funny and the real time aspect of it was cool. Not something I need to do a million times though.

80 degrees did sound like winter, but it was freaking hot! Way too hot.

I'll post tomorrow the highlights of our trip. Thanks again!
