Do you love Harry Potter? Do you have an iPod? Do you have all of the audiobooks (so far) on your iPod? Would you like to have all the audiobooks on an iPod? Do you happen to have a spare $548?
If your answers are: Yes, No, No, Yes, and Yes... then your dreams have come true! Here's what Apple is selling as of today:
The complete Harry Potter + a collector's iPod (http://www.apple.com/itunes/harrypotter/)
Heck, the iPod even has an etched Hogwart's Crest!

(this will look so good on my bookshelf next to my Complete Annotated James Joyce iPod and my new Complete Calvin and Hobbes iPod :D )

*drool* I saw that and almost passed out. Talk about wonderful!! I'm just a Potter geek that way. I don't need the books on audio (though I know you have to buy them all to purchase the Hogwarts iPod.

Now I'm envisioning a product placement in the next movie.
Ron: "Harry, what's that you've got in your hand?"
Harry: "It's my iPod, Ron. With this I can listen to thousands of songs, wherever I go!"
Ron: "Without magic? How's that possible?"
Harry: "Well, you could say that the people at Apple Inc. work a certain amount of magic..." <winks at the camera>

Here's a geeky question for anyone out there with an answer. I'd like to download the BRITISH version of one or two of the Potter audiobooks; (They are narrated by Stephen Fry.) Now, on iTunes, I can browse the iTunes stores from other countries, (I can even listen to samples) but if I try to buy anything from them, I get a little message saying that I am only authorized for US purchases. Do any of you know a way around this? There are actually lots of things in other countries iTunes shops I'd be just delighted to buy.

No answer for you, flippyshark, but a second on the question. There are tons of titles that I'd like to order from iTunes overseas, but Apple has overprotected themselves by making them unavailable to us - how silly.
Here's my example: last year, the two founding leaders of the britpop band Suede reformed as The Tears. In addition to their full-length, they've released 2 singles. Each single was released in England as two separate CDs (pt 1 and 2) and a 7", with each version containing exclusive tracks. I bought the CDs from amazon.co.uk - they have no problem selling UK products to an American address - but I'd rather download the 7" b-side in digital format than buy the 7" as an import and digitize it myself. I'd love to be able to pay for it through iTunes UK, but if Apple won't let me, then I'll look for it somewhere else (which isn't "legal"). Like Leo Laporte says, putting these kind of protections only hurts honest people - the pirates are hardly slowed down by these kind of things.

I love the US Audio versions of HP. I had no idea that there was a UK version out there. *sigh* More to pine away for.
Check this out (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/1855496690/qid=1126383656/sr=1-7/ref=sr_1_3_7/026-2382215-9278004)
It translates out to $193.00.
