Greetings:

As a computer networking guy, one of my favorite quotes has always been:

"When setting out to build an unsinkable battleship, the first thing you should do is plan for what happens when it sinks"

I'm been googleing my little fingers off but I cannot seem to find the original source for this quote. Anyone know it of the top of their head?

Sure it's not Ship instead of Battleship? Not that it helps I couldn't find it either way.

The nearest I could find was this quote from a gentleman regarding the Titanic: " Let the Truth be known, no ship is unsinkable. The bigger the ship, the easier it is to sink her. I learned long ago that if you design how a ship’ll sink, you can keep her afloat. I proposed all the watertight compartments and the double hull to slow these ships from sinking. In that way, you get everyone off. There’s time for help to arrive, and the ship’s less likely to break apart and kill someone while she’s going down."
