View Full Version : A Poem With No Form, Point, or Skill About Patricia Arquette’s Emmy Hair

Was it really that bad, people?
Really?
But, but, but...
It had lift.
It had length.
It was stiff and antique.
It was glistening, glowing
Flamboyant – unique!
A set piece for a head.
A real party of a do.
A girlish curl with
A lady’s coiffure:
Buoyant - magnefique!
I don’t give two ****s about the Emmys -
I sure didn’t watch them -
But I certainly envy a woman
Who dares to make a Swinger out of a Victorian.
I wonder if she drives a DeLorean?!
(That would be, like, so friggin’ awesome!)
Tref!

All right, you forced me to Google it, and .....YE GODS!!!
I think she was channeling Betty Grable.
(From a hairdressing standpoint, not too shabby, but not the best style for Patricia).

That had to be a wig, or at least a fall, as her natural hair looks nothing like it:

It's possible she could have gotten her bangs, incorporated with some of the longer hair, into that roll, and same for her sides. The rest has to be a fall, though- her hair isn't that long.

Great. I just spent WAY TOO LONG hunting for a pic, and I can't freakin' find one. How the hell can you people talk about this and not post a pic???

There's a pic of her there. It's the kind of hairdo that people love to hate. But, man, if I could do that with my hair, I would. I totally would. As soon as it's long enough, I'm going to try a beehive, as well. The beehive MUST have a comeback.

Grow it out by October, I'll give ya a beehive the B-52's would envy. You have to leave it in for a few weeks though, as no self respecting beehive is complete without being really funky when it's taken down. (Extra points if you got spiders and such in it!)

And as of this past Sat., Patricia's hair was a short bob, and had no spider-potential...still and all I thought she looked great as always -- but I'm biased 'cause I love her! :)

I do too, Lizzie- I'll never forget her kicking James Gandolfini's ass in 'True Romance'. You go, girl!

So Gwen Steffani can be old Hollywood glamour from the neck up and, well, modern Hollywood ho from the neck down and she's a trailblazing trendsetter, but Ms. Arquette's hair is an issue?

Is Patricia Arquette pregnant? I just get that impression.
I'm more concerned with the fact that it appears her dress was a size too small for her. She's not overweight, but that dress didn't do her any favors.

OMG, I *love* the hairdo, what's wrong with it?

You must spread some Mojo around before giving it to Prudence again. :snap:
And Patricia is not pregnant -- she always glows that way!

I LOVE her hair! But, I'm a sucker for a good retro 30's look.
OMG!
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!
Great caption for an unbleievable picture:
Apparently, you had such success looking like a desperate head-case last year (http://gofugyourself.typepad.com/go_fug_yourself/2004/09/emmy_fug_carpet_4.html) that, in 2005, you've taken the shredded look just far enough to make it clear precisely how Brazilian your wax job is. You look like an extra who wandered, drunk and clueless, off the set of a porno called Julius Pleaser: Eh tu, Bootay?

I know. It's totally retro! These fashionistas are being very stupid about this fantastic hairdo.
LMFAO at that other caption, though. No pube muscles visible on the red carpet, ladies. For the love of Jesus, wear panties and a REAL dress.

I just pictured you at an awards show naked but with beret.
It hasn't been THAT long since I've seen you!
