If you have not done so already, I urge you to check out the Windowtothemagic.com podcast (http://windowtothemagic.com/podcast.html). I was bummed about there being no new Mousepod for a while so I hunted that one up :D
Apparently Paul Barrie lives in the area and visits the park often, recording ambient sounds and audio queues and ridethroughs. It really is an immersive listen. Just like being there! I highly recommend it for those that don't live near DL. And those that do will love it too ;)
If you're lucky enough to listen to this at work (which I am on Mondays) it's one hell of a vacation right at your desk. Same goes for commutes.
He posts a new 'cast every week, and I'm subscribed via iTunes.

Very cool. Thanks for the tip, CP.
I'm listening to one right now.
I like.

I have a question about Windowtothemagic.com Podcasts. Are there any copyright rules to what they are podcasting? I mean these are actual songs from the park, movies etc.

I suspect that personal recordings of ambient noise are okay unless otherwise stated. That's why some shows or attractions (and, outside the parks, concerts and movies and such) explicitly state no recording devices.
This is assuming said podcasts are free (non-commercial.)

I see. And yes, this one is free.

But don't quote me on that one -- we don't cover copyright until next month!

Prudence, you need to tell your instructors that you need to change their cirriculum because we here at LoT have questions that need answering. ;)

Believe me -- if there were anything I could do to make this instructor stop reading the damn ppt slides and forcing us to do weekly mock court routines I would be on it! Not to mention the part where he requires us to Brief. Every. Case. and turn them in! For grades! Because of course as second and third year students we look like we need that much help analyzing cases.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
Hey! Hopefully in the spring I'll be able to take an entire class focusing on copyright! Too bad the class I'm in now is a pre-req.

This is a fantastic and fun podcast - and Paul is a cool guy. I had dinner with him and his son a couple of weeks ago and was impressed with his enthusiasm and knowledge. Big thumbs up from me.
(and some MousePod news soon, btw).

This PodCast can be fun! I like the fact that you hear a visit to the Park in it's entirety without a lot of information. Of course, as an information junkie, I miss the kernels and jewels MousePod includes.
It is funny how, stylistically, different podcasts have their appeal. I'm glad there are some good ones out there for us geeks to listen to.
But, Jesse still has the best podcasting voice. ;)

Yay, MousePod news soon! :) I thought this might flush ya out ;)
I was surprised to find out that Paul lives in Northern California....I wonder how often he makes that awful drive down...
