Ohhhh, I wish I was going to be there when you are there! :) I'm leaving in two weeks and I'm in a bit of a panic!

How many days are you going to spend at the parks? What is your itinerary? It looks like you are dialed in to the happenin' scene, baby. Have you been listening to the language tapes/DVDs? I thought maybe you could offer me some tips and pointers.

I have two books that may be of help -

"Making Out in Japanese" and "More Making Out in Japanese"

These books explore a nice vocabulary, useful in the dating scene, during sex (I'm not kidding), and even some good ol' bar brawls. ;)

I guess I'm more squaresville than you, baby! I'm going with my husband so I won't be needing the Japanese sex lingo books. I have the regular old boring tour books, lots of small print. I definitely need to keep the reading glasses handy at all times.

Going to Disneyland the first day (28th March), then Disneyseas the second day (29th March), (you have to nominate which parks you want to see on the first two days on your pass). Third and forth day (30th & 31st March), are park-hopper-return and repeat favourites days.

We are buying the tickets at the gate because we got quoted TWICE the cost to buy them through the travel agent - a lot of commission going on via a few "middle men" I think. The 4 day passport is quite reasonable at the gate.

We are then going on to see the rest of Japan for 4 weeks - Matsumoto, Kanazawa, Shirahama, Takayama & Kyoto. *Phew*

We plan on drinking much sake and viewing much Sakura. :D

I'm awfully envious. Several years ago, there was a slight chance I might have been sent to work in Tokyo for a while, so I got some Pimsleur language tapes. (Pimsleur are amazingly great audio language aids, but unbelievably expensive.) Anyhow, it didn't end up happening, but I still have a "yen" to go. (But not nearly enought yen, if y'know what I mean...)

one phrase from the tapes that has stuck with me:
"Watashino tokorode nannika nomimassen ka?"
"Would you like to have something to drink at my place?"

Of course, if I were to use this line on someone and they actually said yes ("hai"), I would have no idea what to say next.

So how quickly do these places book up - if say, I get some cash in the beggining of March, could I arrange a Disney trip that wouldn't bankrupt us?
