I wanted to post this in case there are some out there debating going to see them on this tour~ Go!
I had actually won a chance to watch them rehearse and join them afterwards for a BBQ {being a part of a group of about 13 people}. Well, this was set up for Tuesday in Burbank. Not a very good weather day and seemingly not a good day for limo busses to come and pick up groups of people in San Diego from Temecula.
But, the radio station gave us tickets to see them last night, 10/19, at SOMA in San Diego. We were able to meet and greet the band prior to the show. We met each of them and they all signed posters given to us by their team.
They were all so darn cool.
Their opening band was 'The Exit' out of New York City. They had a really cool sound with a retro look. Rock music.
'311' put on a great show. They are called Rock {or Alt}, Reggae, and Rap. I am putting this off the top of my head from checking out their website. I could be wrong.
Either way, their music was great! Great beat and they put on a great show. It was totally fun. They were really cool dudes and I loved their attitude.
I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone where they may be coming, they are definitely worth checking out. I don't know the last time they headline toured.
They played quite a few of their top songs as well as a lot of 'rarities' which the singer said is what concerts are for. They played a long show, from 9:10 until 10:50.
If anyone goes, please post and say where you saw them and how it was. Okay?
Thanks!
