For anyone who's interested, I've posted a report about our experience at Mickey's Halloween Treat on October 21, 2005 which includes information about trick-or-treating, character photo opportunities, park decor, attractions and dining locations open during the event and tips on how best to enjoy your evening. Extensive photos included, including event park map.
Here's the link (http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlr/mht2005.html). Thanks.

We went to the event last night and it was pretty fun. My son had a blast. We got all our stickers, got a picture with Mickey and Minnie and most of the characters and even got to ride the sun wheel and soarin'. We were so tired!!. (especially since we had spent the day at Disneyland then went to the event...)

The searchlights shining up from DCA looked cool from Disneyland last night
Quick question (I'll admit I mostly skimmed through for the pictures). Are you able to go to the candy stations more than once or do you only get to go once and the sticker tracks that?

Great report! Our clan...all 11 of us will be in attendance on the 29th. I will have to show my DH your trip report so we can make the best of it all. Thanks!

I don't think they would have stopped you from going to any particular station more than once. The stickers were optional, not mandatory, so they weren't using that as a method of restricting your visits. We actually did go to the Tower of Terror station twice because we had gone there the first time and gotten the eyeball candies. We ran into friends after that, and they hadn't seen them, so I gave up a few to them. We went back to the station to see if they had any more. This time through the line, I declined the sticker and just stayed in the candy line. They didn't have any more eyeball candies, and I didn't end up getting any other candy there, but if I'd wanted some, they would have given them to me.

They'd better have this event next year. I'm so bummed I decided not to go because I think it would've been great. One hopes that Disney will jump on the Halloween Train and do it again every year just like Knotts & Magic Mountain.

If they have the event next year I will definately go. The candy wasn't bad but the real part I loved was the characters in costume. How often do you see Mickey in a Zorro costume and Minnie dressed as a nurse? Not only that, when we were waiting in line to take our picture with Mickey, Aladdin, Jasmine and The Genie came out and the Genie tripped over a low wall and his head came off!! Boy I have never seen CM's scramble so fast in my life!!!! I was too slow for a picture though......

That's too funny. Back when I worked at Disneyland in the 80s, I heard about a day when during a parade, Mickey and Minnie were tossed off the horses they were riding, and their heads tumbled off. Disney's biggest nightmare!
