I just wanted to do this in a public forum because I reread some of my posts lately and wasn't too happy about my tone in them.
I've been really crabby to a certain poster here and it's not his fault.
So, I'd like to say 'sorry' to Leo for being so crabby in my Daily Grind posts.
I've been taking my frustrations out in the wrong way lately and a couple of times I painted the bullseye on him. I apologize.
I don't have any excuse for this execpt that I'm frustrated, I'm in a new state, job hunting is a real pain and I'm too far away from a certain park that I enjoy visiting.
Bleh.
An apology too to the LoT staff. I know the feel around here is supposed to be more mellow than what I've been dishing out at times. Sorry.
Any way, for what it's worth...
Brad
PS ~ This does not mean scaeagles and I are going to be picking out curtains together or anything... :D

Well, it isn't worth much, because I don't think you had anything to apologize for. I certainly wasn't looking for one, Brad, because I took no offense at anything at all that you had said and didn't feel picked on one bit. So, I feel a bit strange about it, but I completely accept and say don't sweat it.
Wendybeth, on the other hand, is someone I've been waiting to apologize to me for a long time.;)
However, in the spirit of WB's post, I still need a blender (damn cheap MBC!). And decorating isn't my forte, so whatever you decide is just fine. Oh...wait...we're NOT picking out curtains. Never mind.

Scaeagles, I am sorry that I have nothing to apologise to you for...;)
GC, you are a sweetheart, and if you consider your posting style aggressive or argumentative, you are sadly mistaken. Your posts are well thought out, and you post from your soul.
We appreciate and luv you. Now quit picking on poor Scaeagles.;)

Not "cheap", really. Just my own little way of showing how "conservative" I can be. ;)

I would pick out some appliance for scaeagles, but I've never bought anything for a Republican before. Where do they shop? :D
And, yes, after all these years of being in the closet, I am ready to come out: I am a Log Cabin Republican. :D Leo! Paisan! (Ha ha.)
This one's for Leo:

While I am, in general, not motivated by polical issues I was none the less moved by GC's post and the spirit of friendship in which is was offered. So I spent some time using the "search" function to go back and review my own sorted past. Upon reflection I find that I also have room to belly up to the bar of self recrimination. In fact I had to create a list (http://www.loungeoftomorrow.com/LoT/memberlist.php). So if you find yourself on my list please know that I ment it all in the spriit of fun (well except for that one post of course..) and I apologies for anything that offended.

While nothing you've ever written requires an apology, the picture most assuredly does. I thought it was funny that some kid would think that t-shirt was appropriate when meeting a former President (yes, even Clinton), but that's another story......
Aren't all republicans rich? I would expect something from....crud. I can't even think where rich people would shop. I'm a Target and Sports Authority kind of guy, myself.

Rather than appliances though, why not just send his kids a new kitty.

So you hate my children? My son's eyes swell shut when he's around cats. And my girls would cry when I brutally killed their pet.

And my girls would cry when I brutally killed their pet.
And yet, I'm the one that apparently hates your children. When will you conservatives ever take responsibility for your own actions. Always blaming the liberals for your murderous ways. I'm appalled. Next thing you know, you will be lying and saying that I gave you the authorization to kill the kitty.
A nice democratic daddy would let the girls have a kitty. :)

Since you know how I feel about the scum of the animal kingdom, sending me a cat would in fact be de facto authorization. Plus, to me it would be defense of myself and my family.
But, perhaps it would be better that the children not know it was me who killed it (hypothetically, of course). I KNOW! I could name it Vince Foster, break it's neck, and then stick it in the street and say it ran out in the street and was hit by a car!
That would work.

No, I think abandoning your pet is illegal. Or, it should be. Remember, I started with 3 and Jack was the only one of the additional 3 not abandoned. He just moved in.

My friend's parents in La Habra have 16 cats. They started out with 2 fertile outdoor mama cats that both gave birth to 7 kitties each. My friend's parents are too elderly to catch them all. So they just feed them all. They are all outdoor cats save one who is inside. They don't like their local SPCA so they don't want to call them to get rid of the cats. :)

Ok, I just have to derail a little bit more. They might want to contact a local vet to see if there is a feral cat society in their area. Most of them will set humane traps, fix the animals, and then put them back where they got them -- or some variation of that with the 'feeders' assistance. Allows the cats to remain feral but stops the cycle of litters.
