I just watched Murderball (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0436613/?fr=c2l0ZT1kZnx0dD0xfGZiPXV8cG49MHxxPW11cmRlcmJhbG x8bXg9MjB8bG09NTAwfGh0bWw9MQ__;fc=1;ft=20;fm=1) on DVD.

So very amazing.

If you're in a blah mood, watch this film. These guys aren't all about the 'feel sorry for yourself' game and maybe when we most feel like doing just that, we need to realize that we shouldn't be either.

This is coming from the King of Pain himself. Ha ha. :D

Highly recommended. Put it in your queue or rent it.

Edited to add:
P.S. ~ As much as I liked 'Penguins' and how much effort it took them to shoot that film, I think 'Murderball' deserves the Oscar for Best Doc.

I saw it when it was in theaters. It was a very interesting documentary in the way that episodes of Nova are very interesting documentaries. I wasn't particularly moved by it and other than presenting an interesting topic didn't think it was all that special.

Unfortunately, the best documentary I've seen this year (Grizzly Man) didn't make the short list for Best Documentary. Haven't seen March of the Penguins but it creates an interesting dilemna in that the successful American version of the film is substantially different than what was originally presented in French (and apparently much better according to those who have seen both). Mad Hot Ballroom is probably the only other major competitor and I didn't care much for it either (too much like getting stuck watching your aunt's video of your cousins dance recital - blah).

I personally would give it to The Aristocrats (of the qualifiers I've seen), but I don't really see that happening.
