I went to visit Ericas sisters and was given the ultimatem of the girls or the cats.

Congratulations! You won't be sorry and they are adorably cute!
It's part of their job description to take over the house, and every cat I have ever seen is very adept at doing just that!

i thought they were twins...but a closer look reveals a tiny black nose and the other with a bit of maroon (ok, it's closer to brown, but that would have been wrong on many levels)... thant's how i tell Chip and Dale apart.

have you named them yet?

Kevy! I was so expecting that! You're right, Dragons!

No names yet.. from me at least. The twinsies named them but they said I could change them. They'll have two names. I'm leaning towards Pookie (from Garfield) for one haven't decided on the other. One is smaller than the other, the smaller one is the one who may be Pookie.

They have such a hard life

They'll have two names.

But I always thought that a cat must have three seperate names. :)

Awwwwww the doublemint twins! I love it!

They are boy kitties. As soon as they're old enough they will be former-boy kitties. I do not want spraying kitties at home :(

WB,

When I woke up this morning they were sitting next to each other on the couch just waiting patiently for breakfast. I would have taken a photo but I felt bad because I only leave them crunchy food at night so I wanted to get them their soft food right away. This gives new meaning to the phrase "***** whipped"

I still vote for Snookie and Pookie.

I want to go to sleep but they're both sleeping on me. And I have a paper to write. It's probably not nice to blame the kitties.

The smaller one (second pic) is Pookie [whatever name the girls gave him]. I haven't figured out a name for the first one.

AwwAwwAWWWWW!!!

I'm glad you got to see them. I knew just telling you might not be enough, though I kept getting "too busy" to have you over to see them. I'm glad they're staying amongst my friends - they're too cute, and pretty well mannered for kittens of their age. I'm so happy they'll have such a loving home as yours.

A part of me misses them, but I know I can visit them whenever I want now!! :D

I knew you needed kittens to love!

I can still tell them apart in their pictures, and though I know the names the girls called them, and the names I called them (the greyer one I called Curly, because his ears used to curl under) - I know the names you'll pick will be perfect, just like Springer was just the perfect name for him, and still is (though it's more Bound than Spring, and the occasional Plop and Flop LOL)

Happy Happy Joy Joy!

Thanks for the pics!

Ya, and you knew how little it would take to get me to take them home too once I saw them. My downfall was holding them. And the girls. And the girls holding them.

They have two new games they like to play. One is hide between the shower curtain and the other is hide behind the TiVO.

I think they're going to be Pookie and Hobbes (Thanks MickeyD) but you can call them whatever you want. Lord knows Springer has about 10 names. I always said when I got my own cat I was going to name it CAT! But you know... Springer would find out and attack me.

So, where did these sweetums come from? This wasn't the newly adoptted cat's litter, was it? And, are there more?

It is her litter. There is one more (Tiger 2 I think) it seems he's found a human momma in one of the girls.

Yes, came from the abandoned cat they found. Turns out - she was pregnant!

I wonder if they ditched mama kitty because she was yowling so much during heat - I'm trying to make sense of why someone would abandon a cat (she was clearly domesticated)... These kinds of things NEVER make sense to me, so I should stop trying to figure them out.

Yes, why would someone abandon a cat (sez the woman with 6 cats of which all but one were rescues).

After much contemplation and soul searching it seems that I was ment to foster, not keep Hobbs and Pookie. My place isn't big enough and I am not home enough to care for two active kitties.

If anyone knows anyone who wants them please let me know. I ask that they love cats, take both of them and have bigger than a 1bd place. They also must be kept as indoor kitties. They are fixed and have had their first round of shots.

This was not an easy decision to come to but I feel in the deepest cockles of my heart that it is the one in the best interest of Hobbs and Pookie,

And the final update..

My mom has a co-worker who is going to take them. She has a big home and 2 kids and I suspect they will be much happier there then in a 1bd condo with someone who is hardly home.
