LOS ANGELES (AP) - Richard Pryor, the groundbreaking comedian whose profanely personal insights into race relations and modern life made him one of Hollywood's biggest black stars, died of a heart attack Saturday. He was 65.

It was very sad to hear this news today. He was one of the greatest, an innovator who paved the way for many, many careers.

Wow, this really bums me out. What an amazing performer. Now I've gotta track down my old VHS tapes of his concert films. Great stuff! He'll be missed.
